Can't open Waveshell 9.3 as an intrument to use Codex in FLS

I hope there's a solution to this. Waveshell works fine as an effect and I can even open Codex as an effect but I can't get it to recognize as an instrument to open a channel and get playing. :?

Quick Fix: Opening as VST3 seems to work. I can live with that. Why doesn't regular work though?!
