Thanks! I hadn't touched it in a few years until this recent intensive update period over the last 6 months or so, and I kind of forgot myself how fun it was to play with. It's the exact same filter code as Poly-Ana. Airy, hairy, and SCARY! It's got a LOT of attitude and character. It's a bit dangerous in an underground, guerrilla warfare kind of way. (I don't mean it's dangerous to your system. But to your SOUND! It's not afraid to get RUDE and GLITCHY when you let it.) That's part of why I made it look like a prototype unit that some mad scientist (that would be me) made in his garage (that would be my computers). It's even got paint drips on it and my thumbprint from where I picked it up while it was still tacky!TheoM wrote:Nice sounding filter scamp is. Was always a little GEM imo. I decided on the drop and pretty much use it for all my filtering, but scamp is definitely one of the few good ones.
One of my favorite things to do with it is to apply it to an entire mix, or a sub-mix of a bunch of tracks. While filters, by definition, remove selected content while leaving others, it's amazing sometimes how "less is more".
TRY IT, EVERYONE! It runs as a free demo until authorized, only makes VERY occasional, VERY brief silent gaps (but no nasty noise bursts) while in demo mode, and you can even save and recall your work so you can start using it on real projects right away. 25% off until month-end!

(I've still got to update that image, there's a few new features and of course the version number is wrong.)

So Ive literally just bought Scamp and discovered a bug immediately.
Switching on channel 3 makes the output more muffled, as though channels one and two are being double processed.
Switching to High Quality returns the sound to normal and switching to Econo mode again makes the sound muffled.
This is in Bitwig.

Your best bet is to contact Mike directly by email. He's always very helpful and usually responds quickly.VariKusBrainZ wrote:So Ive literally just bought Scamp and discovered a bug immediately.

Nobody said that for obvious reasons. Talking about the AQ products in general or any sales isn't forbidden. Check my last post in the bargain thread btw.JerGoertz wrote:Okay, where'd they say it?TheoM wrote:yep for reals.. it was said by the mods recently.. i think once they see this topic even being bumped they will insta lock it.JerGoertz wrote:Really?TheoM wrote:talking about AQ products at all has been banned at KVR
If Meffy feel to lock every thread mention AQ that's another story. If it's official they should delete Poly-Ana from the database first but it's still there.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
