I would also be interested in info about the 'Plugged In' membership, I also thought that it would be an easy way of getting all the plugs at half price, couldn't quite understand it. But I think you are only allowed to get 1 per month, and it also gives you the same access for future plugins, and some other stuff I can't recall, and their page is down at the moment for me.TheoM wrote:did the $59 sale end?

Also, does 3.1 finally have vst sidechain? Hows the overall stability now with lots of 3rd party plugs and *especially* UAD?
Do waves plugins work in it? They are unsupported and i have never used waves in an unsupported daw.

Waves plugins seem to work fine for me (haven't tried all my waves of course, I have heaps). There are quite a few plugins and certain vsti's that don't seem to work or work correctly. But things are advancing slowly, and there is no doubting the 'Sound' and the price is certainly right.
As to the plugins being "unbelievably overpriced", I haven't purchased any yet, but have looked through them quite a bit, and I can't recall thinking to myself that they were overpriced, but . . . I guess it depends on your own thinking and whether or not they are any good. I have heard good reports about them if that is any help, and from the videos etc I have seen I also get the feeling they would be pretty good, shame about the whole no demo's thing, and that they are only able to be used in Mixbus.
I will wait a little longer and see how it progresses with plugins etc, and stability wise before spending anything on the plugins. Haven't installed 3.1 yet, but will do in the coming days. All up until and including the last interim release have been a little to unstable for me, to many crashes for me for no apparent reasons, and the need for a reboot (not all the time, but enough) to get the use of audio interface back is a pain. Still a long way off to be able to use as a fully fledged DAW in my mind, with the instabilities and plugin comparability issues etc. But for just mixing your stems etc and getting that 'sound' and 'feel' it is mostly ok, still a little to crashy considering the other DAW's I use rarely to never crash or have these issues.
Definitely worth following and for the price no real regrets, as long as things get sorted out eventually, sooner would be better though
