Modulating LFO 'Wave' parameter in Macro Modulations Matrix : Alters the symmetry of the signal. ( Similar to PWM actually ) It works on every LFO Waveform, except Sine
You might want to mention this in the manual - there is no indication that we are modulating the width of the shape when we select LFO1 W as the target. Does W stand for Waveform or Width? Perhaps even the complete 'LFO 1 Width' would fit in the menu, as well as Frequency and Level

...
Yes, I'm currently rewriting the manual and I've added this. W can stand for both waveform and width. :)

V 0.98 H will be published tonight or early tomorrow. It should fix a lot of additonal bugs -possibly some you mentioned- , and also, improve the Sample Import, and Sample 'info fields' editing.

Hi Lotuzia
Is it possible to grab a pattern as a midi file and drag it into the arrange page in Logic Pro X? Don't see anything in the manual.
Trying out a track for the competition and that would really suit my way of working.

An interesting bug... the one that you took, tell the truth it really helped you... an interesting bug! (sorry, couldn't resist):

the 0.98H version only allows me to use one instance of StiX in Live. An attempt to load a second instance results in the error message: "this plugin is not compatible with Live".

Win 10, Live 9.6. All previous versions worked fine in this regard.

Other than that, coming along nicely.

Hope the V0.98 H will solve issues reported previously by Cinningbao in Live.

So I was thinking kind of an old-school LCD look would be good for the sequencer.
Anyway, I lazily whipped one up. Thought I would post it for the heck of it,
or incase someone else had been thinking that.

I do think you should add some more contrast to the sequencer transport
control or whatever...

-Cheers

*Edit: added lighting effects...

Perhaps a bit obscure? Great Morrisey song though :)

So it's not THAT obscure! Been listening to Bona Drag recently, amazed at how well it's aged.

@pekbro that fake LCD look is really cool! I agree that some kind of contrast would improve both look and workflow.

Hmm sofar we cannot reproduce this behaviour with Live + StiX v0.98 H.

It -adding a second StiX instance- works ok in StiX v0.98 H with :

OSX + Live 8 & 9 ( Both VST and AU versions)
and Win XP ( Live 9)

It also seem to work ok in all the other hosts we have tested sofar.

Could you be please be sure that you have performed a plug in rescan in Live ? ( Alt + Rescan ) ( And to Cinningbao or possibly other people having some random crashes in Live, could you assure that this rescan has been performed as well ? )

Hi Lotuzia!
i still have the MIDI "bug" on version H
StiX only responds on MIDI channel 1 on the selected drum pad. No signs of life fro MIDI channels 2-16.

Hey Lotuzia - now I couldn't replicate the bug, either. Yesterday, when it occurred, I had made sure to do a rescan of the plugin before using it. Then I tried adding multiple copies of the multi-out version, and it crashed Live. Today, nothing of the sort happened, everything works fine although I've changed nothing in the interim.

Maybe my computer was having a bad day, who knows? I'll post again should it occur again.

Suggestion:

Provide another column of OSC controls specific to noise. so there would be 4: osc 1, osc 2, noise, sample. for the noise column, the controls are: TONE, TYPE, LEVEL. Type includes noise types such as white, pink, brown and possibly noise bursts that simulate percussion attacks and maybe even a way to load in a sample of a noise attack.

Also provide another set of ENV knobs specific to noise VCA.

This would enable full-ish control over noise as a way to add and control attacks and other uses of noise with drum sounds.

I got curious and tried to load multiple instances in Logic 10.2.1, 4 instances total, no crash.

Thanks for the pre/post fx send feature. I just saw that when you click that button that there is an empty pop up. That's not necessary for this button. Like other buttons don't have that too, e.g. mute, solo, etc. I wasn't able to take a screenshot of it.

Thanks, I like it as well. I suspect they aren't interested in making any more
graphical changes (understandably), even if they did happen to like it.

Maybe one day they will support skinning, then I could do it up nice.

Thats not bad looking, and at first sight, it's pleasant :tu:. I'm a fan of 'ol LCD display' and, in the very StiX 1rst incarnation I designed some for all the preset name zones ( though there were more the Yamaha type, black on green -nostalgia-, wich was ok with the black look -Also the knobs and buttons were completely different, with a flat non vintage look )

But ... the problem is that, in your example, the labels become heavily blurred, and much harder to see. We spent a lot of time to ensure that people with visual problems could use StiX .... with no -or minimum- problems. This approach prevent us to make too much fantasies like this one I'm afraid (or a more neutral one anyway)

Then, yes, I enjoy such a look ( with a less pronounced effect), just because, for me, it's somewhat related to the genesis of StiX : I wanted from the start to make an XoX drum machine. A 2016 XoX drum machine actually.
