Does this EQ have that FabFilter ProQ2 thing that if you see peaks, you just can grab them down on it? That is super handy feature. If there is no that, are the developer going to add it? Thanks!

Thanks for the report, Theo!TheoM wrote:Ok, have been putting the beta through the ringer (latest one).
Yes, you're the second to report that, but I cannot reproduce it here. Are you using Yosemite or later? People seem to report strange flickering in many applications on the net, but I'm not sure if that's related to the issue in Equalize. You didn't have this in the old version, right?TheoM wrote:1) I get screen 'flashes" quite often when i have mouse clicked, hold and dragged any parameter of the plugin.. basically the gui of the acon EQ flashes like say, a phone camera flash
OK, will check that. Got a similar report already...TheoM wrote:2) Undo is a little wonky. Works fine but if you choose a PRESET then undo the choosing of that preset, it jumps back to a previous step, that is *before* the correct one
Hmm, how would you solve that? Solo the newly selected band?TheoM wrote:3) I am finding it a bit irritating that when i have solo selected and i click on any other band it deselects. I have to go through the process of re selecting and it can kill workflow. This should be an option. This is not a bug, as it's always been like this.
I didn't change this from v1.1.14 intentionally. In what way is it unpleasant? Too slow, maybe?TheoM wrote:4) Fine drag with command key is very unpleasant and unergonomic. It's just not easy to use which it should be
Yes, that's already on my list. That's the magic mouse, right? It's the inertia that's causing problems, but it should be easy to fix.TheoM wrote:5) Mouse wheel control is jumping all over the place, like it's smooth, then suddenly makes a huge leap
Excellent, the core seems stable, then...TheoM wrote:no pdc problems, and of course no sound or crash problems (as if an acon plugin would ever actually crash LOL.. that's never happened to me).
It sure does -- thanks again!TheoM wrote:Hope this helps. The core EQ is fine in the beta. Tabs work fine.

No worry, Theo. I think I've fixed the issue. I didn't get the flashing here, but I noticed some strange repainting glitches when moving the plug-in window around. That is at least fixed in the latest beta. Hopefully the flashing is gone as well. I'll get the fine tuning more responsive as well...TheoM wrote:Stian Sorry i somehow missed your post.
I didn't notice the flashes before this beta build, and the *majority* of testing was however done when i bought equalise which was before i got the retina screen. I am indeed on yosemite, 10.10.5
yes with the fine drag it is toooooo slow in even "latching" on to your movement. In other words it feels forever before you even can move one decimal place.
Ok i just noticed there is a new beta, will test tonight, and see how we go. Cheers

We have released version 1.2 of Equalize. The new version supports the VST3 standard and offers improved ergonomics as well as a more polished visual appearance. Tab buttons in the user interface give quick access to band specific settings. The visualization of the filter curves now indicates bands in solo or bypass mode. Holding down the alt key activates a cross-hair cursor with frequency and spectral level readout. Additionally, the spectrum analyzer has been improved with interpolation and a new spectrum hold mode.

New Features

Stian

New Features
- Supports VST3
- Band related settings now reside in a tab control for quicker access to all bands
- Center/cut-off frequencies up to 40 kHz regardless of sampling rate
- Visualization of bands in solo or bypass mode
- Spectrum analyzer is now interpolated
- Reduced time jitter in spectrum analyzer
- Added spectrum analyzer hold mode
- Cross-hair cursor in the spectrum analyzer (Alt modifier)
- UI theme visually improved
- Many other bug fixes and smaller work-flow improvements

Interesting. Could you talk about the new spectrum hold mode, how can we use / activate it?

You can activate it setting the spectrum analyzer drop to "0 dB/s". The analysis can be reset any time by clicking the background of the spectrum analyzer / eq curve editor.lesha wrote:Interesting. Could you talk about the new spectrum hold mode, how can we use / activate it?

Thanks. I presume it uses maximum peak readings? Average would be a nice addition.

Yes, you're right, it's currently maximum peaks only. I agree that averages would be nice as well...lesha wrote:Thanks. I presume it uses maximum peak readings? Average would be a nice addition.
