Studio One Appears To Be Possessed?

I've been doing a clean install on a new SSD. I use Studio One 2. I attempted to install an old Native Instruments suite of products called Komplete Classics, which consists of the plugins Akoustik Piano, Elektrik Piano, B4II and Pro-53. The actual installation seemed to go ok, but when I tried opening up Studio One or Cubase, the plugins from that old suite (Komplete Classics) were making both DAW's hang forever, to where I had to restart my machine to get out.

I have uninstalled Komplete Clasics and I even uninstalled and reinstalled Studio One 2 (both 32 and 64 bit). However, it seems like the install of Komplete Classics has messed up things really good for Studio One though, as it's acting possessed.

When I go to launch Studio One 2 32 bit, in the opening plugin scan it shows a few of those Komplete Classics instruments with a yellow exclamation point saying each one has been ignored because it crashed before, but it doesn't ever complete the opening of S1 32bit. It just hangs on about the third yellow exclamation point, and I have to restart my machine.

When I launch Studio One 64 bit, in the opening plugin scan it shows all of those Komplete Classics instruments with a yellow exclamation point saying each one has been ignored because it crashed before, but then it eventually opens up S1 completely.

First Question: Why is S1 still seeing these problematic plugins during the opening scan if I've uninstalled them?

Then, things get WEIRDER. Once Studio One 64 bit opens up, the plugins/instrument browser column offers me Native Instruments products that I have NEVER installed. No, these were/are not part of the Komplet Classics collection that I've already uninstalled. S1 64 offers me an unregistered version on Absynth 5 (which I don't own), Kontakt 4 (which I don't own) and FM8 (which I don't own). I've never even downloaded or installed the demo versions of any of these, at least not since this new hard drive was put in. How are unregistered versions of those three strange apps now appearing in my S1 instrument browser?

Freakishly, I can't find these plugins anywhere on my machine. I can't delete them because according to the Windows installed applications list, these programs do not exist. Nor do they do show up in Cubase.

That brings me to my second question: HOW/why is the S1 instrument browser offering me instruments I have NEVER downloaded or installed? How is S1 offering me applications that according to Windows DON'T exist on my machine?

Make sure the plugin DLLs aren't still in a folder being scanned by Studio One.
If Studio One is still finding the plugins after uninstalling, the DLLs are there somewhere.

Note that if Cubase isn't currently set to scan this particular folder, that would explain why it's not having the same type issue.
