Why does the 64 bit labeled version use Steinbergs bridge ?

It doesn't do that here (Cubase 8 Elements 64-bit). Maybe you're seeing the VST3 version? They have similar icons in the dilaog when you add instruments or fx. You can check in the plugin manager though, if there's not a 32-bit in brackets behind the VST version number, then it is the 64-bit version.rasmusklump wrote:Why does the 64 bit labeled version use Steinbergs bridge ?

The 64 bit VST3 version triggered the Bridge. I have zero 32 Bit plug ins so it was the first time that the bridge.exe was triggered and my Antivirus asked for permission for the bridge to run....chk071 wrote:It doesn't do that here (Cubase 8 Elements 64-bit). Hmm... 64-bit VST3 in Cubase 64-bit shouldn't trigger the bridge, unless i miss something. The bridge is really only there to run 32-bit plugins. 64-bit VST2 and VST3 should run natively. There's something weird going on there.

Yes, I was always looking for a sharp AND smooth phaser like virus. Having a virus kc, loving its phaser, I would
not say it´s identical or close.
I wrote to UAudio: Please make a phaser (they don´t have a single one) like my virus. Of course they do not.
Now, after having bought the whole soundtoys bundle (not loving the phasemistress), there is a little free one.
Demoed and testet every phaser I found - they all don´t have that DUB-vibe. This is a step in the right direction.
THANKS4THAT Adam!

Why dont you think it sounds close? What is the problem and what can I do to make it closer? Have you watched my comparison video on my site?bite_me wrote:Having a virus kc, loving its phaser, I would not say it´s identical or close.

Working great in FL Studio here. Thumbs up! Tidy little CPU-friendly plugin. Good phasers are rare, especailly in the freeware 64-bit world.
Thanks Adam

The virus phaser is more cutting where your phazor is silky - not in a bad manner. It´s still a very useful phaser!
