Jean Michelle Jarre sounds

Maurice Jarre pushed his boys into music as a way out of poverty. The Jarreson 5 were a successful group and eventually Michel Jarreson went solo and become an international superstar. But fame had its pressures and as the years went on, Michel Jarreson became increasingly strange - sleeping in an oxygen tent, Bubbles the theremin playing chimp, etc. Of course, the oxygen tent inspired the classic Oxygène so it was not all bad.
Eventually Michel's little sister, Jeanette Jarreson become a huge star in her own right with the best selling MIDI Control Surface album. Brilliant production by Raspberry Jam and Lewis successfully disguised the fact that Jeanette had no discernible musical talent. Eventually Jeanette's MIDI Control Surface and wardrobe malfunctioned during the Superbowl on live television and the Jarreson's fortunes went into decline.

Yes. He is the son of the famous Maurice Jarre (composer and conductor, "one of the giants of 20th century film music"). And his two forenames (in France we have between one and three forenames) are Jean-Michel (with a hyphen) and André. And his mother, who was named France Pejot, was a famous resistant against the Germans during the last world war.Numanoid wrote:So that's his real name?CMT wrote:Jean Michel Jarre: a famous french musician.

A well-behaved signature.

The album will not be released before May 6th, so there will be some time to warm up to it
Even more than Numan/Jarre, I think Jeff Mills+Jarre and Yello+Jarre is a really good matchup
It's like Jarre is doing what Stallone did with the Expandables, gathering up the "action" heroes for another go

Watching the new Jarre video at NI
Why is there no windows in his studio, it's like if he is in a bunker below Berlin somewhere?

If no regular windows, a window in the roof (like in a painters studio) is nice

The last album missed Yello so I'm chuffed to see them show up here. Some interesting names on this one and a few I've never heard of. Definitely gonna check it out when it drops.

Sounds like any cheap Euro-trash dance music to me...
