So I see, looks like they have been available from the Adventure Kid site for a while too, but George is acknowledged as having done the conversion (not sure what that involves, what format do they use?)Numanoid wrote:And maybe also Corona? Presenting these as new features of v 6.5 is plainly stupid. These are just converted waveforms, and can be used with any version, including the older 6.x. The same can be said of the patches, since there is no new parameters in the synth. So, h«what's left, again? Ah yes, the obligatory Retina display (which makes a "huge" difference to the vast majority of usersaMUSEd wrote:So I see, looks like they have been available from the Adventure Kid site for a while too, but George is acknowledged as having done the conversion (not sure what that involves, what format do they use?)Numanoid wrote:And maybe also Corona? I think that 0,19 € would be okay for that "update".
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

The Discovery Pro 6.5 demo is really good, but a bit CPU intensive
What is super cool with Discovery is that I can go to Nord and pick up the original patches and load up in the plug
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-libr ... ory-sounds
But I can also do that in plain Discovery v4, so I'm not gonna pay €79 to upgrade to DP65 to do it.

I downloaded them, actually they appear just to be single cycle wavs, but just organised into subfolders with a .dwb extension (never heard of giving a folder an extension before).aMUSEd wrote:So I see, looks like they have been available from the Adventure Kid site for a while too, but George is acknowledged as having done the conversion (not sure what that involves, what format do they use?)Numanoid wrote:And maybe also Corona? A digresion:
I had en passant about dwb files last year
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... b#p6190916
Still the Corona manual is not updated about how to handle them

Ok I am going to hijack this thread for a minute.....but it is on topic...just not what you guys are talking about. This goes back to something I said earlier about mono patches.
I did get the update. I have several of the old versions as well.
But the whole synth is in MONO. Period. There is NO STEREO. Not in any version I have. No matter which patch I choose.
When I hit a note, it plays on both channels identically (oh and too loud slightly distorted). This is in Cubase 8.0, 8.5, Live 9.2, 9.5, 9.6, and FL Studio 12. It does not play at ALL in Maschine 2.4.
OF INTEREST...the ONLY place where I could look at the audio output channel was in Cubase and it says Discovery Pro 64--->Discovery Pro64 [MONO] as the output, with no other option for me to choose.
This is every preset in every bank.
Corona, which I also have, plays each patch in stereo.
I have checked the settings and config and there is no mention of this. Please advise since so many of you are reading this, ha ha ha ha.

It's a fair features set for the price. I will buy it sometime. But removing the download from 6.4 is not nice, IMHO.

There's only a couple of features that would be applicable to me. But it's more of a small general update I guess.waltercruz wrote:It's a fair features set for the price. I will buy it sometime. But removing the download from 6.4 is not nice, IMHO.

I've been spoiled by Steve Duda's updates for Serum. Bags of very cool features - but I've not had to pay for an update yet. Same could be said for U-he's Diva. AudioThing do something similar. Or even S1 - 3.2 coming out and it's free.
I will end up purchasing the update at some point, but I'm not to happy about the Bermuda Triangle of my old files.
In fact, I'd rather see a significant update and pay more money for it. I'll just have to be happy for those Linux users. Yipeeee....

You're not alone - I noticed the same thing in reaper and sonar x3 and reported it to George, he got back very quickly saying it was a known bug and will be fixed in an update shortlythejonsolo wrote: But the whole synth is in MONO. Will be another 'paid' update?jdnz wrote:You're not alone - I noticed the same thing in reaper and sonar x3 and reported it to George, he got back very quickly saying it was a known bug and will be fixed in an update shortlythejonsolo wrote: But the whole synth is in MONO. So we now have to pay 19e for a mono synth update. For god sake...

Yes this is disappointing. The problem is that I have this issue with 6.5.4, 6.4.6, and now 6.5 (those are the versions I kept separate copies of).
George please advise as to what to do! How quickly can this be resolved?
JDNZ- when did you report this?
What makes it bad is that it affects the whole channel...nothing...no effects...nothing goes to stereo.

Channel bug will be fixed asap but final 6.5.0 won't be officially out until then.
