Hi -

I'm new here and just discovered OBXD while I was searching for an Oberheim model.

How do I install the presets/patches, etc and get them to work/load into Obxd? There appears to be ZERO documentation or instructions on what I'm supposed to do with the vst presets listed here: https://obxd.wordpress.com/ (https://obxd.wordpress.com/)

Under "VST Patches" on that site, there are 2 types of patches listed; "KVR list" and "Factory"

I can't even download the "Factory" patches -- when I click on "Factory", it just brings up a bunch of code and doesn't download anything. What am I supposed to do with this code? Is this "Factory" set the one I read about somewhere here that has like 500 or so presets?

As for the "KVR List" patches, I was able to download, but now I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it.
I opened up an instance of OBXD, clicked on the little "settings" icon in the upper right hand corner, and chose "import banks and patches". But when I tried to import the patches/banks, nothing happened -- all the sounds just say "default", and it didn't actually load any presets.

I really want to be able to use this, but I need the presets as a starting point. I'm not a synth programming guru.

Thanks in advance - I appreciate any help if anyone can give me a point in the right direction. I've been trying to find the answer to this for like an hour, but have really only found any substantive guidance for Mac users (which doesn't really help me on Windows).

Apologies if I posted this in the wrong place... I'm just trying to get some help.

You may need to use your DAWs preset system to load the patches.

I'm not sure what that means exactly, or how to do that. I'm using a live performance software (Cantabile) as my "DAW" for this (though I can also use Cubase... But I'm going to need to use it in Cantabile primarily).

The files you downloaded from Kvr consists of two kind of files.

Those that ends on .fxp is a single sound and are called a Preset - and those who ends on .fxb is a collection of .fxp's and is therefore called a Bank.

I don't use Cantabile myself but if it loads OBXD you should look in
the manual on how to load .fxp and/or .fxb files.

Cheers
Sound C loud
Band C amp
Clicks and pops is all I get
