I am confused now. Freezing a track with insert reverb in Cubase 8.5 pro. When freezed the track starts to play about 2 bars after it should! What I am doing wrong? Any Ideas?

Solved this by "render in place" (pointed to me by friendly soul in Cubase forums). "Render in place" makes a real, visible audio clip. This is better than freeze (altough one must remember to disable the vst-track to free resources)

However the 'freeze delay' remains unsolved as such.

IIRC, Cubase's freeze uses "virtual clips" (like their 'Edit' files) that play in a non-linear way from the background. With things like that (kinda working like cache files) it may have just bugged out in some corner case, the timing. I'd just try it again, let it do it again, write it again.

Also, maybe not relevant, but (in the past anyway, no idea about C8) they also wouldn't move with arrangement changes, like if you removed 2 bars from the arrangement somewhere along the way.

do you have the record safety feature (it will will "record before you start recording" so you can catch any pickup notes or whatnot) on? i forget what it's called, but it will add extra time to the beginnings of clips when rendered as well. i don't recall it causing trouble with where the audio was placed, though i don't use it often, and it very well could...
Feed the children! Preferably to starving wild animals.
