I'm getting a weird issue where most of the patches produce no sound. Most of the SEQ patches work but the other ones don't. I'm using 32 bit reaper. The meter produces a red bar when I hit keys, not sure what that means

Make sure you are on Midi Channel 1 rather than all/any

That worked, thanks :D

Does Crisalys starts to add ALOT of disharmony on high notes to others too??

I tried to use external filter, but it seems like impossible to clean up the sound if I play about 600 hz and up...

Good. If you have multiple MIDI tracks on different channels, then it's easy to add in JS Midi Tool V2 to change all manner of things as the first FX before the synth (in Reaper, of course!). Never ignore the JS family of tools, some real gems in there.

Do grab the midi tools here http://thepiz.org/plugins/?p=pizmidi - all manner of useful things.

midiConverter3 will let you e.g. map per note velocity to the volume control in the synth!

i was kind of interested in this...unfortunately crisalys murders my computer every time i try to open it.

i get this problem with synth edit synths fairly often...something about the .sem files. i try to open it and i get a steady stream of 20-50 error windows that all require me to click "ok"....but explorer crashes before i get through them all.

i tried making sure the folder crisalys is in was not set to read only...but that didnt help (sometimes it does with this problem).

using 64bit fl studio 12 on win7.

merp-derp.

On Fl Studio I had better luck with standard ASIO drivers, though Crysalis murdered my cpu, too.

re-downloading it seems to have fixed the issue...at least for now. i find these synthedit plugs are a bit like ticking bombs...they work...right up until they dont, and then they REALLY dont work.

First time on KVR and first OSC challenge so lets see how this goes.

First off I gotta say that this was quite a challenge, not only was there no noise to work with for percussion elements but the free running oscillators also meant that each hit wouldn't be the same so the speed of the rhythm became bottle-necked by whatever phase the oscillators were in.

Anyway with that mentioned here is the track

16 Instances of Crisalys
DAW: FL Studio 12
DAW Effects: Fruity Free Filter, Maximus, Fruity Limiter, Wave Candy, Fruity DB meter, GrossBeat (only used it for basic gating duties so none of the pitch/time functions were used [the rationale is that the same effect can be accomplished with volume automation so all it was used for was a time saver]), Fruity Parametric EQ2, Fruity Filter, Control Surface, Fruity Reverb 2, Fruity Waveshaper
3rd Party Effects: TAL Reverb 3, Voxengo SPAN, Classic Delay, Classic Compressor, Delta Ping

Hehe, too true! As humans, we want the most what we can't have...in the case of Crisalys, it was noise and velocity info :D
