Any other LA-3A compressor plugins besides Waves, UAD?

I've been looking to see if there have been any recent compressors based on the LA-3A created as a plugin.

I've seen the Waves LA-3A along with the one by UAD, and if I have to I will consider the Waves version. But I wanted to know if anyone here is aware of any recent LA-3A plugins on the market.

There were some older ones that are no longer updated or don't exist anymore, (like the one from URS) but I'm surprised I haven't found any new ones yet.

Very curious to see how this plugin turns out! It would be awesome to see a small developer making a splash with a high quality LA-3A plugin!

Thanks for the link.

Not sure why IK Multimedia doesn't... they do the 2A.

I did here good things about that Nebula library, and I do own the Nebula 3 Server. Nebula can act wonky at times though. For example, I noticed the "bypass" button didn't actually do anything for me.

But it is an LA-3A emulation I'm considering.

Edit: Also, where did you get that Nebula skin? It looks really cool for Nebula.

Looks interesting for sure, I wonder what price point it will come in at.

Nebula is being improved literally every month. And TimP creates better compressors than anyone else in the Nebula world. Personally, I just cannot imagine coming back to the algo comps anymore. I just prefer the sound of the newer Nebula comps so much more. Nebula is not fully there - that's true - probably about 90%. But algo comps, IMHO, do not get higher than 80%.

I really like the compression *action* of the uad one, even though it has a tiny gui, the most basic features, and no non linearities modelled. However i will wait for the mk2 as i am sure it must be coming.

Waves is not bad, i almost bought it at the recent $49 sale, out of their cla bundle i think the 3A is probably the most usable one (to me, the 1176 especially is just so off the mark it's crazy to even call it one).
I doubt the 3A will go for such a cheap sale any time again soon though.
Right now the CLA bundle can be bought for about $144 from Audiodeluxe. It's very tempting, but I wasn't sure if the CLA-3A is a good emulation.

yeah March 2015 isn't too far away :hihi:

Looks lovely, but i can't see the high frequency dial. Hope they haven't missed that important bit.
IKR... they should have left the year out! They would have been close to target now... :hyper:

Perhaps it will be worth the wait... I might drop another email their way and ask for an update.

So difficult to predict these days: My hope is that it would be sub $100 and perhaps with an intro deal. Maybe we should start a poll for the pricing and delivery date!

Evey Bypass button works for me, i don't know why you would be having an issue with that.
Nebula is different today then what it was few years ago. I do not use Algos anymore at all.
And yes, it is a LA3A Emulation, from Tim Petherick The skin i did my self and then in Agent.
