i might try that...just don't want all my songs to lose their presets... otherwise, will edit one-at a time. thanks! good to have new features...this one seems to need an 'edit' option.zvenx wrote:I think you can physically remove the banks from their location and it will clear it next loading.

Maybe I am misunderstanding what you want to do?
Is it you have too many banks in the Banks submenu? and want to remove some of them but afraid to remove them because a project may need them?
I think your DAW should save what it needs in the DAW and not try to re-read the patch from the patches.
Certainly Cubendo behaves that way.

i used to keep a folder in my mac sidebar to access spire soundsets. now, with the 1.1.3 update, i can keep a list in the 'select' window on the left. but.. i imported a number of soundsets, and wanted to clear the list under 'select'. seems only way to do this is, one-by-one, in the menu (under 'remove').zvenx wrote:Maybe I am misunderstanding what you want to do?

anyway...sorted it out (put my entire soundbank list under select, after removing the 'redundant' ones, ie the factory banks). all good.

I see you've sorted it but for reference on Windows, all installed soundsets are located here:
Users/(your name)/AppData/Roaming/RevealSound/Banks.

i know where the banks are, it's the file that saves the bank list i'd like to delete (the list under 'select')...mutantdog wrote:I see you've sorted it but for reference on Windows, all installed soundsets are located here:

From what i remember, removing the installed banks from AppData removes them from the list also.
Perhaps i'm wrong on this, i haven't tried to do it in a long time.

on my mac, the banks sit in a 'spire' folder i made...and put in my Music folder. removing that, opening spire...it still finds the folder. there must be a database file i can remove (that would delete the custom banks in the 'select' list), but no idea if that's it (or where it lives)...

That isn't where it is reading it from.
Didn't know you were on mac.
go to ~/Documents/RevealSound/Bank
and in there is the banks it reads. remove those you dont' want or add those you want if you want to do them manually.

first, my mistake: the files are in documents, i had an alias to the folder in my Music folder.
i WANT to keep all my soundbanks; i want to clear the LIST of custom banks in the 'select' window (that i added there) in the new pane on the left of spire. i added a bunch of banks to that LIST, then wanted to clear it, start over.
i already edited the list (one 'remove' at a time); was trying to figure out how to delete the entire LIST.

exactly what we have been saying. on mac go to the folder i mentioned and delete all of the banks you want to remove..if you were on PC go to the folder mutantdog mentioned and removed all the banks you want to remove there.
Of course move them to somewhere else or keep a copy of them somewhere else for when you need them, but spire looks in those folders and list those banks in those folders.
