I've been using it for a few hours.

New console thing sounds very cool a very nice feature. But I've been using 3rd party for that for quite a long time anyway.

Very happy about the new arrow tool and the smoothness of the region/event select. They've done some nice improvements here (and about time).

Workflow is something they've obviously spent a good deal of time on. And it shows. Nice automation improvements and the comping fantastic. New faders.... Very powerful. Zooms in ans out like a bullet.

They are obviously trying to attract some of the pro-tools users here.

Needless to say I won't be switching to cubase any time soon.

You know they are selling a commercial product ?

If it doesn't sell, they don't make money and the product gets shelved.
Advertising helps sell products.

Fair enough, sorry for the over-reaction- it just seems odd to me when I get a boat load of great free additions to an already good DAW and so many people seem to want to knock the developer for one reason or another (too much marketing, no need for another plug format or whatever). I would be mad if I bought a product that was over marketed and it turned out to not do everything that was advertised, but this is both free and working as advertised!

It's par for the course to not just state an opinion about why something is shit, but to repeat it on every page and throw a few lol's and haha's behind it to really annoy those who like it.

And you might consider reading the thread, i stated earlier that the update is a good one, but the hyped feature 'mix fx' is neither revolutionary or worthy of the hype considering the other new features are more important than it, hardly trolling.

No offense bungle but you seem to ignore the possibility that maybe not everyone actually feels the same about that.

You keep saying it as if if you keep repeating it, it will be true for everyone. If someone else thinks it's was worthy of the hype, so what? Does that affect you in some way?

Not arguing. Just wonder why on page 25 your're still dwelling on the marketing phrases.

Feels the same about what, that that feature isn't revolutionary ? As in already possible with a VST SKnote Strip, or that it wasn't worthy of the hype ?

The former. Does it ever occur to you that someone might feel differently from you about that? Tht someone might feel it's a really clever approach, the design of MixFX. It's ok to disagree. It's just a word for god's sake.

It is a little odd to see adults go on about marketing words for 25 pages, as if they've never seen marketing hype before.

I only wonder why you care so much if somebody else thinks it's "revolutionary" or whatever... because you keep dwelling on it. That's all.

BTW, I personally don't think it is either. I only wonder why you care so much if anyone does and are still talking about "revolutionary" on page 25.
