Nebula 2/3 Guitar Cabinets

So about three years ago, I scored Nebula to see what the fuss was about. After using it for about a month, I considered myself disappointed and never used it again. Eventually, I forgot I even owned it. (it was the edu license of Nebula Pro 3) Until recently. One thing I kept hearing about was the quality and realism of the guitar cabs for Nebula.

I always wrote that off as another overhyping....until last night. I decided to install Nebula on my current machine, and got some free Cab programs. All I can say is...........HOLY MOTHER!!! This is freaking immense! I found a good collection of cabs by DamyFX. And then another collection under the label of Erectus. They're all mostly great.

I get this great feeling and great vibe when I'm using these Nebula cabs. I can't explain it.....but it seems like the frequency response is not as "static", if that makes sense. I didn't even need to do my usual highs/high-mids cut that I've been doing for the past several months on all of my impulses. It just sounds more natural.

Anyone else here ever used these? On my i7, I'm not taking an enormous CPU hit using two instances of Nebula (one for each guitar track). But I do understand that CPU with Nebula is a big problem for a lot of people.

I haven't tried them yet, but I know that Henry Olonga offers some cabs for free, as well.

You said Henry Olonga has some cabs? I can only find amps on his store.

I may have misremembered this - Henry Olonga may have only had amps. However, Ownhammer does have some Nebula cabs. Not free, but reasonable and well-regarded.

I believe Ownhammer actually discontinued their Nebula libraries. Which sucks, because now after trying this, I want to try their Nebula cabs.

I read that the developer eluded to Nebula cabs as being too involved.

So far, those three links are the only places where I've found Nebula cabs. I'm trying to find the Nebula cabs from Kalthallen , but I can't find them on his site either.

I have several OH Nebula cabs & they are very nice.
I'm interested in seeing how well they perform in the upcoming N4.

The Nebula cabs are much, much better sounding than impulse responses. But the latency makes Nebula cabs practically unusable for live playing. With regards to recording, it totally feels like cheating lol since you aren't going to be able to play around with mic placement/selection in the same manner as you could with things such as Amplitube 4 (not impulses but physical algorithmic modeling), Revalver 4 (impulses with a load for a more dynamic response), TwoNote Torpoedo (impulses with an algorithmic power amp for a more dynamic response), or something like Overloud Th3 with tons of options for mot mic selection/placement.
