Thank you all for your suggestions.

I've also discovered a couple more tools at my disposal: Zebrify and Wusikstation FX. What I have should keep me going for a while, but I do know that I need to get a good filter, such as The Drop.
You're right, I do need to dive into what S1 has to offer.elxsound wrote:I think this is great advice...cryophonik wrote:A lot of the effects that you're hearing in some songs are coming from several different effects in series, so go nuts with what you already have.
You could listen to a thousand suggestion on what effects to use, but to be honest if you haven't reached the limits of what came with Studio One, then you will probably just end up throwing away money on commercial products OR just end up waisting space (and then end up cluttering your workflow).
Limitations are very rewarding. Don't underestimate the power of working within the confines of Studio One.
You'll have a better idea of what you personally need, as well as how a specific plugin is better for you vs another one.

Ohm Force stuff can get pretty creative. Their filters and distortions sound great. Same with a lot of Audio Damage, MeldaProduction and SugarBytes. Also have a look at D16's Silverline FX. There are some gems in there too. I also use a lot of Max for Live effects. K-Devices, Amazing Noises and Surreal Machines spring to mind, but there are lots more. Fore free check out ToneBuilder stuff ... very creative.
