According to KVR ticker, these are release dates for the most recent editions:

Komplete 10, Oct 2014
Komplete 9, March 2013
Komplete 8, Sept 2011
Komplete 7, Sept 2010
Komplete 6, Oct 2009
Komplete 5, Oct 2007
Komplete 4, Oct 2006

So Komplete 7 and 8 appeared only a year after the predecessor, but with Komplete 9 and 10 it has taken a year and a half.

Komplete 11 could appear in time for the x-mas shopping season, if NI are in a hurry...

Crossgrade costs 400 for Komplete and 800 for KU, but at sales with 50% off it was a great way to get Komplete, specially if you got reaktor on the 99 USD sales in the last years. You could get complete Ultimate for 500 USD in total.

That's why I wonder if reaktor 6 will keep being an option. Reaktor 5 still is.

If Komplete 11 came out march 2016, would it go 50% off around Christmas time or would it still be to newly released to go on sale?

Anyone know how long the upgrade promotion is due to run? The smart money for some time has been K11 in March, but it won't be out til this sale is over at the very earliest. Also I think Kontakt 6 isn't quite ready yet, and I'm hoping K11 has K6 included. I can see it being a couple of months yet.

I would bet that K11 will be announced at the end of the month to be shown a week later at Musikmesse.

I've been waiting for Komplete 11 for a while as I've been wanting to upgrade Komplete 7. How does the Komplete release pattern normally work?

I could well imagine that I will upgrade to K11 Ultimate when the time comes, but the cost of going from K7 to K10 (regular version) at the moment is very cheap indeed.

What's the best way to play this? Upgrade K7 to K10 now for $100, then go from K10 to K11 Ultimate later, or should I go from K7 to K10 Ultimate now and hope that the upgrade cost from K10 Ultimate to K11 Ultimate is cheaper?

I got my KU upgrade for 1/2 off this past summer. I assumed K11 would then come in the Fall. Guess not.

But the current 1/2 price sale is a good sign that something is up. Can't really imagine that there's anything new that I need immediately. The only new instrument that was a "must have" for me was the Session Guitar instrument, and I managed to get that for 1/2 off awhile ago.

Unless they change how they do things, then the upgrade from any version will be the same price. So I'd say the cheapest way to go is to upgrade to K10 U now - half price on the big upgrade - then pay the update from K10U to K11U (look up the equivalent product on the NI shop now for an idea of local cost). The absolute cheapest way would be to wait until the K11 upgrade sale is on. Almost zero chance of that happening this summer I'd say, but possibly Christmas... if not then, maybe this time next year.

Thanks very much, going to grab K10 ultimate right now, I can wait another year to get K11 Ultimate as there will be hardly any Kontakt6-specific libraries till then anyway

(Assuming of course that K6 is included!)

Yes Guy, I do know. It's Guy 6 hours in the future, here. The email that's just dropped into the inbox says promo ends March 31. So I'd say that's a certainty that there's no K11 in March. I'm now guessing May / June.

When do you see komplete 11 coming out?
