Hello Everybody,

my name is Sandra and I just bought a NI Machine 1.7.2 (MK I I think) from Ebay, but I cant use it because the serial number is already taken! I'm so sad and angry. I already took a break from work just to play with my new "toy".

The seller doesn't answer me anymore! I spent all my money for the Machine and know I can't use it

I would be VERY thankful if anyone could help me!

Open up a case with Ebay, they usually side with the buyer and you'll get a refund.

Nobody here can do anything about it.

NI tend to be very helpful in these sort of cases.
Contact their support.

The seller should have had the serial removed from his account by NI. He could still do that by the way.
Like tehlord said, open a case with eBay, especially since the seller doesn't respond.

NI can't help I guess, they're okay with transferring licenses but it has to be initiated by the seller.
Can't hurt to try obviously.

Did you buy the hardware ?

Did the seller state if s/he was selling both the hardware and software ?

Maschine must be sold with the software license, it's the whole package.

So if the seller doesn't respond to your request for the license transfer ask paypal to refund you and return the product.

Look for someone who commits to selling the hardware and license together.

I don't think so since you can use it as midicontroller without the software. I seen several times people sell maschine without the software.

I really do hope software can be sold separatly from hardware, and visa versa.

Often I buy something just for one or the other.

I would want to sell Traktor Kontrol X1, but not the Traktor software license that came with it.

Yes, he said Software and Hardware. The Software and Hardware came with the paket, but he didn't remove the serial

I don't know what to do.. The Maschine looks great. Did anyone know where I can buy the software only? NI said that they didn't sell the software only

Don't despair just yet. Unless you used the gift PayPal option, you should be OK.

I hope you hear from the seller before you try to get a refund. NI can be a little slow at times. When you do get it registered (

), If it is the earlier version, I recommend the upgrade.

Can't blame NI for that. Just another seller who not de-register the sh*t prior selling. Some people..

NI Machine - bought on EBay and can't use it (Need a new Serialnumber)
