I'm looking for Studio One Remote for Microsoft Surface tablets. On Presonus website, there's only a link to the Ipad app, but I don't see it on their website or on the Windows Marketplace...
2. Click on Studio One 3 from the list of Presonus software you own. This opens up the Studio One downloads available to you...
3. Scroll down past the soundsets for the section called "Extra Downloads" (make sure the type is set to Installers)
4. You should see an option to download "Studio One Remote Installer for Windows"
It would be much easier if they just added it to the Windows App Store like they did for iOS.
NEW Studio One v3 updates incoming.

Nah. They just overlooked the value of building the macro knobs (literally, the actual knobs) into the automation system. That will solve all of it. As it stands now, they're just links between UI controls and plugin parameters, they have no literal automation envelopes for themselves yet.SeeingInMidi wrote: The reason why I think they haven't implemented macro automation is because studio one doesnt support native internal midi ports and routing like in ableton and fl studio.

yepp, so interesting why it's working on Multi Instruments level, DAW and its containers should work on same design foundations, it's also not working using the Extended FX Chains (coders(or something) of Multi C. deserve some congratulationLawrenceF wrote: As it stands now, they're just links between UI controls and plugin parameters, they have no literal automation envelopes for themselves yet.

As someone who makes music in my spare time and as a hobby I find all this business about the console emulator quite mystical. I would prefer workflow enhancements, rather than sound enhancements, but then again I'm not the target consumer. Track presents, a step sequencer, andriod compatible controller and better groove quantisation tools would be on my wish list.
PS - does anyone know the setting to change so the arrange page does not follow the mixer? And can I assign mixer scenes to presets?

They did add a lot of workflow enhancements though... apparently just not stuff that seem to target you.kev2525 wrote:As someone who makes music in my spare time and as a hobby I find all this business about the console emulator quite mystical. I'm personally very happy with what they added. They address pretty much my main complaints about S1 with the new smart tool, quick zoom, comping tools, automation etc..
Can't please everyone unfortunately, but they did manage to please me!

Yep, there are a boatload of workflow enhancements in this version. In fact, I'd say those are far more useful than the console emulation. I think the primary points of discussion however are VCA faders and the console emulation.

Yeah, collectively speaking, the workflow changes for editing and comping and all that are better than all of the other bigger stuff in isolation, imo anyway. Editing is much, much better.
There's one unresolved bug with VCA's that should get cleared up in a maintenance update but they're working really well here.

And still no automation clips! Since I produce music which heavily relys on automation, my projects look like 100 rainbows, full of automation lines, sometimes gets so confusing, would be easier on eyes and easier (fast to work with) with clips. Only daw (which I know of) which deals with this problem perfectly is FLStudio (too bas everything else sucks in it).

Yeah, automation clips don't seem to be high on the list with S3.
And FL? I am sure there is a workaround for the other issues.

Also:
Great Piano roll.
Patcher!
Multitouch
Pay only once!
No ARA.
But right now I am trying to figure out the workflow to use FLS as a VSTi in S1.
Also use the Multi Instrument vs Patcher?

wait m8s, we just found(in the prev page) that the macros in multi instrument container can be automated directly

from clips (so modulation also working) too which ones can be shared ones (and S1 u can created dedicated tracks just with the automations), so what is missing if we talks about VSTs, audio tracks ... dunno I'm not an S1 user
just playing with the demo, but for VSTs it definitely seems working and brilliant one

so yepp, VST automation part works as it should in other DAWs too (especially with SerumFX)
forgot the sound, but it's not so important

ok, but how do assign common (macro) knobs to different devices in FL if u not use Patcher(and its surface) and S1 faster than Patcher for this for sure this (drag and drop macro assigning is quite comfortable) and in FL u can't play the different automations in the Channel rack(u can only trigger them using a MIDI note they have to be dropped to the Playlist) as in S1 using its Scratch Pad
