You're right I can't just sell them to some stranger.. I'll train them to pretend they're blind and panhandle. That's the ethical thing to do.

Don't forget with the Minilogue that you can use the sequencer as an arbitrary LFO. 4 of them, to be exact, though they have to be locked to the same clock. You can also use MIDI control to create arbitrary LFOs, as many of them as you need. The patches I've made so far haven't used these tricks. I've just been exploring the bare minimum of what's possible with the unexpanded modulation.stillshaded wrote:As I said earlier, borrowed my friends and really like the minilogue. Made some cool patches. But I had a lot of those "if only I could modulate ONE MORE THING" but maybe that's good for me.
I'll let you know in a month or so if I want to sell the A4. By then you might have found someone or something to sell to raise the funds
Feel free to private message me so I don't forget how to get in touch with you when the time comes.

Nice one, SonicLab!
A workaround for the retrigger!
I'll be preordering in the middle of the month.

Nope, workaround != understanding.duncanm wrote:GOD HAS SPOKEN.

Seems like the retrigger is a simple enough fix on Korg's part if they want to update the Portamento setting with a firmware update.ghettosynth wrote:Nope, workaround != understanding.duncanm wrote:GOD HAS SPOKEN.

If not, it's pretty simple to just do it yourself.
And we're back to how awesome this synth is.

OK, now that the Sonic Lab review didn't contain any...
I'm still really curious how the filter feedback would sound like, (though headphones out ---> ext input)
Is there a way you can control the headphone out or the in level or you need a "pot-cable" ? ( pot-cable
..burn)
Is there a chance you can burn some components or whatever doing this?

Eh? So all this clicking drama was all about "add a little release and attack" and "turn up portamento a little if it retriggers"?D-Fusion wrote:
Wow man! Some people really know how to construct a "problem"
This synth is just amazing. Nothing to do. Tatsuya Takahashi beats ya all.

Fixes and workarounds are fine. What many of you don't seem to get is that some of us are actually interested in the design itself. This is just some more information. A friend of mine is getting one of these so when he does I will get to explore the envelope and VCA behavior myself.NEOREV wrote:Seems like the retrigger is a simple enough fix on Korg's part if they want to update the Portamento setting with a firmware update.ghettosynth wrote:Nope, workaround != understanding.duncanm wrote:GOD HAS SPOKEN.

We never left, and nobody is stopping anyone else from talking about any aspect of the synth that they want to talk about. Just do it and stop whining so much about other people who don't want to talk about the same things. And we're back to how awesome this synth is.
I really don't get why this is so difficult for some of you to understand?

You're the one whining, dude.ghettosynth wrote:Fixes and workarounds are fine. What many of you don't seem to get is that some of us are actually interested in the design itself. If you look back I haven't been whining about anyone. The last few pages have been you fighting about clicks. I love it when the whiners tell people to stop whining. Overreact much?
My comment about going back to the Minilogue being awesome is because for many pages before is you and other people arguing about clicks and retriggering. And now we know the retrigger isn't an issue anymore. Be my guest and learn all about how the synth works. No one is stopping you but you.
I've been a fan of the synth and haven't said a negative thing.

I just imagined there was some similar click issue on a soft synth. Would be a total shitstorm then, until it is fixed. On analog synths, you obviously accept, maybe even expect such "flaws".

SOmetimes I think analog lovers must somehow be masochistic, seeking for suffer and punishmentchk071 wrote:I just imagined there was some similar click issue on a soft synth. Would be a total shitstorm then, until it is fixed. On analog synths, you obviously accept, maybe even expect such "flaws".
