Is this one of those wind up threads? In any case it's rather amusing.

Now here's some big boobs.....
Yeah.....in a way it kind of sucks that hardware even exists that can't be fully used without registration/serial#. Unfortunately, this is becoming increasingly more common. And there's nothing wrong with selling such on eBay....as long as your clear about it in your description. As pointed out, sometimes the hardware in question is somewhat usable as a controller. What really pisses me off tho are things like the kajillions of cloud-locked iPads out there good for nothing but landfill......Apple claims its in the name of security....but I think it's more in the name of selling more iPads.

Fender bundles a powerful app with Mustang amps, and if someone buysrod_zero wrote:I agree that in reality it can be sold without the license, I was trying to point out that buyer shouldn't buy it without the license since NI doesn't sell them.
an amp secondhand, they WANT the people to download and use
their software to maximize their brand, inch by inch.
Native Instruments is stupid not to follow suit. Unused 2nd hand Maschines
don't help anybody, and the cost of issuing a 'new' license of finished old software is insignificant. It's not like you could use it with midi hardware from arturia, or other competitors. Dog in the manger...

Speaking of, Arturia doesn't automatically give you you a license with their hardware, although, they sell it separately.glokraw wrote:Fender bundles a powerful app with Mustang amps, and if someone buysrod_zero wrote:I agree that in reality it can be sold without the license, I was trying to point out that buyer shouldn't buy it without the license since NI doesn't sell them.

Is this bad in the long term? I think it has a negative impact on the used market, but I'm not sure that matters much to NI in this context. I don't know, that's more of a question for discussion.
Ableton has the audacity to give you an into license with a NEW push, but, only if you don't already have a license. You have to register your push with a different account in order to get your free intro license.

Arturia sell midi devices with clearly advertised software bundles.
It would be dumb to attempt not allowing registration of that bundle.
If they sell other hardware without bundled software, it would
be dumb to give away unrelated licences...
'Automatic' can be contractural, but not instant, it still involves
the customer and provider taking various actions to complete the deal.
'Extra' maschine licenses can't restrict NI presence in the wilds,
but every unused maschine does. A wise King of NI would want every maschine
licensed, and out there, with people asking what that weird hardware is,
what it can do...and who sells it.

I was specifically talking about Spark which, similar to Maschine, is almost useless without the software. Also, like Maschine, the software is useful without the hardware.glokraw wrote:Arturia sell midi devices with clearly advertised software bundles.

I pretty much assume that any of this hardware in pawn shops doesn't have the associated software.

It´s not 100 % confirmed yet as I see it, that this is a scammer. I´d imagine however that this could be some kind of feminist humour, where they somehow think that the world sees girls with larger atributes as dumber, hence they´re creating a stereotype of it, making fun of the way that they (the feminists) think the world sees voluptousness..pc2000 wrote:Hmmm... this makes the OP sorta suspect! F*CK!!!
EDIT: Guess I should've refreshed the page before I posted. The cat wasn't out of the bag when I posted these comments!
(I hope there´s a bit of sense in that! )
And of course it´s possible to spell Maschine wrong without being dumb or that there´s anything suspicious about it.
This COULD be the new "guy-from-alphaville" thread!
Best regards and wishes for a great weekend
