Hey Dave, thanks for working on a resolution.

I just tested the new 1.52 beta in Reaper 5.20pre16 x64 and the x64 VST3 is only outputting the left channel:

Let me know if you need anymore info.

Good spot. I think that's been that way for a long time... but fixed now anyway. New build in a bit.

^ not sure if related, but there's something funky going on with EQuilibrium (VST2 here) detecting the track channel count, at least on Reaper. It seems that whatever I try I'm unable to engage the surround routing mode.

Hey,

The VST2 doesn't support surround. Use the VST3 for that please :D

v1.52->1.53

- Default OpenGL to Off.
- Fix "white squares instead of knobs" bug.
- Improve latency reporting for offline VST3 rendering
- Improve Surround support in Reaper

Post

1.53 is looking good gentlemen!

Reaper is reading m/s on VST3 properly and surround works as well.
No crashes in OpenGL either... :tu:

We have a new EQuilibrium which is better, shinier and smoother in use!

1.56 is out now – as always, free for all users with an EQuilibrium license, at: https://dmgaudio.com/equilibrium (https://dmgaudio.com/equilibrium).

Dozens of small fixes and tweaks adding up to an overall improvement in slickness. Enjoy :)

Great! I just bought Expurgate and TrackComp - I needed a good versatile gate - its surprising how few gates there are out as plugins that are not stand-alone and offer the versatility digital can offer. TrackComp because I bailed on buying Black Rooster due to their lack of license transfers, even at 70% off. Too bad for them. Maybe they will eventually get the message (or not). :phones:

Sorry for the full quote but since this was nearly 4 years ago I decided to copy context over.

With a full installation on a new machine I still/again has faced this issue under Win 10 Pro. Hmmm. :?

LiteOn wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2014 6:16 pm Well,

veni, vidi, vici - got it and fixed it! :party:

After I ruled out any wonky access rights (implicitly including the actual ressources path) as the cause my last logical resort was to take again a detailed look into the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DMGAudio:

Reminder: enforced by the installer I did the installation(s) with the admin user, but added the each license by double-clicking the .reg-files from my standard user context. After a fresh installation the nodes have the following key/values (amongst others).

+:=present; -:=lacking

Admin/Installation user
+ path to ressource folder
- licenses

Standard/Cubase user
- path to ressource folder
+ licenses

In line with that I got "no valid license"-like messages when running Cubase with the admin user and opening any of the EQ-plugs the first time. And vice versa, after also adding the license for the admin user going through the EQuilibrium wizzard the first time worked flawlessly including final saving.

Hmm, could it be that there are complete disjunct user settings?

So after the license has a "+" in every's user reg node I wondered what would happen if I manually add the "Path" by copying its key/value over to the Cubase user node.

-> Bingo, now everything works as expected!

Now, the settings and preset folders are perfectly shared accross accounts (even with the ressource folder being somewhere outside C:\users).

@Dave: I think, the preset/config logic needs a minor update since it does not yet fully support a multi-user setup. What do you think?

Thanks for heads up. We're investigating these issues at the mo, and there's a new plan to streamline installs and stuff :)

I wanna give a shout-out to guys at DMGAudio (the way they communicate with their customers is very much appreciated here).

I had a few request for Equilibrium, which I'm gonna re-iterate in this thread since it also serves as a feature request pool:

-Analyzer window zoom recall;
-Adjustable slope for notch filters, hopefully up to 48dB, just like their HP and LP filters (the 12dB curve just doesn't cut it for me (no pun intended));
-Flat-tilt filter;
-Support for UNICODE letters in audio interface (for us that have non-ASCII names)

Other than that, Equilibrium soothes my eq nerdiness in a very good way, while also being VERY easy to use - and it sounds really great as well.
