Thank you for reminding me that trance used to be very good music.
Arrival & Fonarev - Kazantip (Sean Tyas Remix)
PPK - Resurection
How do I embed video from youtube?
And sorry for self-promotion (not sure if it is appropriate thread for this), my attempts at making an oldschool trance track

This is cool, thanks. I can appreciate the old school vibe in it for sure. You embed by using the youtube.com/etc style url and removing the "s" out of the https.recursive one wrote:Thank you for reminding me that trance used to be very good music.

If anyone got to the end of Sami's list plus additions and is still looking for good trance, do have a listen to DJ Sonia's Trancedemic Sessions on Soundcloud. It's a good mixture and there's usually always something good. It comes out weekly and she always puts up a playlist. There's some nice stuff in #123:

(By the way, just ignore all the guff about 'trancedemic'. The music is worth it.)

To warm this thread up again, and because i really enjoy Trance music among other styles as of late, some more videos of memorable, and also "classic" tracks for me (guess some of those have already been posted):

Thanks I added some of those. I hadn't heard Kyoto before, I'm a huge Corsten fan, depending on what he makes, I don't care for his not-so-trancey stuff which is why I don't follow everything he does closely, but when he does this style it's simply awesome. Anyway thanks.

Yes, definitely. Interesting side note, he cracked out the JP8000 for that one and gave the impression that he couldn't really do this classic style without his hardware. Also he couldn't get the same kind of sound without an analog mix console. The upshot is of course it's a lot higher quality than his old stuff in terms of production, but it doesn't have the mid-range sweetness of the stuff done on analog. Anyway, I absolutely love the bridge, the main melody and so on is nice but not something I'm crazy about. I generally just love it as a whole, I thought it was really cool hearing that sound again in 2015 with modern production. He's going to be doing more of that.e@rs wrote:Same here. Also you should take a listen to this, obviously a Corsten fan

Yep, i don't care for his progressive house thing or whatever so much too. But his Trance tracks are really good.Aiynzahev wrote:Thanks I added some of those. Missing from your list
Probably my all time favorite trance song.

Thank you all for taking the time to construct this list/thread. While I have always liked a variety of electronic music, since the days of Vangelis (Bladerunner) and Jean Michel Jarre (the Oxygenes), Pink Floyd, Thomas Dolby and The Fixx, Jan Hammer and Harold Faltermeyer, and most recently Deadmau5, I had not had the opportunity to be exposed to trance artists before this. Am really enjoying the playlist. Was unsure until now whether I actually like trance. And I do. But, I'll be honest, I don't know the nuances of a number of the different genres. You could probably convince me that I was listening to glitch or dubstep.
