Hi all
Got sent here by Kong Audio cos I can't make their free GhuZheng load via my DAW (Quick Score Elite Level 2 2015)
Now I know I'm being dumbass (before everyone else tells me!) The Q'in Player and GhuZheng instrument load fine as a standalone, except then, of course, you can't hear anything. When I've got Quick Score Elite going the player loads but it can no longer find the actual instrument - and I'm loading it from the SAME PLACE/SAME FOLDER!! That's the bit I don't understand. In standalone mode it finds the instrument. When in the DAW, no can findee. Yet everything's in the same places both times.
Now the Q'in Player doesn't, as far as I can see, have a Preferences that allows you to set paths to where the instrument is. So can anyone tell me where it EXPECTS to find it when used via a DAW, so I can put the instrument where the player wants it to be, it finds the instrument and happiness all around? Or if there's anything else going on I don't know about, tell me!
Yours hopefully
Chris.

Try asking in their forum here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=64
Usually if you send them an email they try to help. Surprised they'd send you here.
Maybe make sure the Qin engine and guzheng dlls are both in your vstplugins directory.
Have you posted/asked at your DAW specific forum/support?
You might get more tips searching on youtube or watching videos from Kong Audio.
You also could try linking stand-alone to DAW via virtual cable.
