Hey guys, I am looking into having a casual and minimalistic ambient sound like that of Lapsley on the song Hurt Me http://de.musicplayon.com/play?v=995418 (http://de.musicplayon.com/play?v=995418) Would you recommend any VST or Sound libraries to look into? Particularly drums, vocal engine, reverb.. Thank you very much. What VST/sound libraries to start with? Minimalistic synth/electro-pop

Honestly one of the number one things to keep in mind is to use one plugin and learn it well. Use the stock reverb in your DAW when you're starting. Master that. Know what everything does.
Stock DAW plugins typically are powerful if used well. It's not the VSTs that make the music.

Not sure about a vocal engine, but pretty much any synth vst can make the sound you're looking for if you know how to use it. Personally, I'd recommend Synth 1 if you haven't found out about it already.
