Is based around Spanish guitar and traditional percussion elements, but that has a house-type beat and sounds quite Latin/jazzy?

Again, I'm trying to retrace a lost CD (from around 1999/2000).

This one comes close to it, but the CD I'm trying to retrace has the guitar as the main element, very prominent. It was summery, feel good music.

I LOVE this tune from 2002. Could this be it?

It's very nice, although 2 years too late at least, for sure. I heard it in 1999 first. The stuff I'm after is less strong beat, more jazzy beat and cleaner, natural production.

I don't really expect anyone to find the exact CD, but just knowing the genre or hearing something very similar would be very helpful on my quest to find the CD I'm after :)

Probably not what your looking for but the thing you posted reminds me of Sueno latiino .

Tough one, latin house had a big moment in the early 2000's.
Have you checked through the Naked Music label's output? They definitely catered that direction, probably re-published a lot of the most popular tunes. It's a lot to sort through, but seems like a good bet to me.

How popular was this tune or CD?

Wait a sec....

Was it ? Hell of a tune. 1996, but back then electronic tunes had more shelf-life.

I have a plethora of CDs and vinyls of that period that I love very much
I'd like to help the first ones that come to mind are these two, perhaps a little more disco-oriented

That's going in the right direction, although the act I'm looking for was much more.. err.. proper-band-with-real-musicians. Some good stuff there though.

We're getting closer what vibe is concerned, but the act I'm looking for was really focussed on the instruments.. lots of nylon guitar soloing, latin percussion, with a house-y groove rather than a full on beat.

It's leaning more towards this, but focussed around the nylon string guitar soloing, possibly even some sax and organ, and completely instrumental.
Not a compilation, a proper band.

I understood perfectly ok ,remember that at that time we called it exactly latin house :tu:
I have to look in my archive have many brazil / jazzy /latin oriented vinyls (years97-01), and I come to report something

To be clear, this was not electronic music? This was a BAND?
Or do you mean to say it was electronic music, featuring some instrumentalists, and it was a single artist's album?

Was the rest of the album a similar style, or was that song a standout in it's style?

It was indeed a single artist's album. All tracks were in the same style, clearly featuring instrumentalists, heavily centred around nylon string guitar, real and deep bass and real percussion, but all on a more groovy beat, with electronic underpinning.

This brings to mind artists like Master at Work or Nuyorican Soul but also Moloko
I'm checking some records ,It may be something similar to this song by moloko?
or something more club oriented?
