I'm tinkering with the demo now. First things first. I'm sure the waveshaping engine was a huge challenge for the developer, so I must tip my hat to 2nd Sense Audio; this is one of the most sophisticated waveshaping synths I've ever used. The horizontal and vertical modulation of the waveform is absolutely brilliant. Each operator's internal waveshaping and phase distortion modulation is pure genius. Drag and drop modulation, frequency modulation, snapshot morphing. Wow. This thing is a beast.
I think my biggest gripe so far is the reverb, which is horribly metallic. It's not a complete dealbreaker, but in the pursuit of ambient/atmospheric sounds, the reverb sounds like a stray cat clawing its way up a tin roof. It's totally unusable imo. Like I said, it's not the end of the world (I have plenty of reverb plugins) but if it's possible, I think a totally new reverb algorithm is in order.
As far as unison goes, I can only really use one operator without punching my CPU in the gut, but taking into consideration how complex of a signal I can coax out of just one operater, I certainly can't complain too much. But it sounds like the unison voices are pretty uniform, so perhaps an option for random stereo and detune spread would be a nice inclusion.
But I'm being too harsh. I mean, this is version 1.0, so I understand that Wiggle is a young pup and will evolve as time goes by. The price is completely fair. The GUI is just beautiful. On the whole, it's a brilliant synth. I love it

i have some questions:
the osc waveform modulation with the lfo/env are Polyphonic ?
can we modulate the phase distortion curve ?
this is my kind of synth, i will buy it for sure for this price when the no output sound will be fix.
cheers.

kokotte wrote:another question,
it is possible to automate via the daw, the XY osc point range (i have seen the lfo mod is avalaible)?
1. The LFO controlled control points of each OSC waveform modulation are not polyphonic, but you can randomize each OSC's phase of each polyphonic. We have tried polyphonic LFO controlled control points, the result sound is totally chaotic and useless.kokotte wrote:....
the osc point modulation are per point or per osc?
2. Yes, you can automate speed & range parameters of each OSC's X/Y control point.
3. Per point.

Finally,
i have test this powerful synth,
the no sound problem occurs because i was offline,
now, when i open Wiggle, i take care to be online and all is fine !
the motion modulation put this synth on the next level (for me!)

I hope it's related to the demo only! I mean do we need to be online always to be able to use the full version?kokotte wrote:Finally,

no,no, it's just for checking the 7 days demo via their server for synchronise the date i think, after that, it's the first thing i have ask, we can autorise one time, online and offline !
the great news is the devellopers are very responsive, i have a problem on a osx computer and 24 hours after, they send me a version compatible with my old Os

That is a very good demo, but I bet newbie users will ask where do I buy the keyboard to get those sounds

Ok great then. I did demoed it for about one hour yesterday and it's a very good synth. I'm not into dubstep, so I ignored the sounds related to it. Anyway, it can do nice sounds with low cpu usage (at least the presets I liked, they use low cpu). Although, I have other great synths, but this one with wavesshaping, FM matrix and morphing, is hard to ignore.kokotte wrote:no,no, it's just for checking the 7 days demo via their server for synchronise the date i think, after that, it's the first thing i have ask, we can autorise one time, online and offline !

Two small minor thing are:
- next/previous buttons for presets without opening the presets window.
- seq buttons in the first page to drag and drop for modulation like the mod ones.

Then again, I don't really want to go back to the days of every synth needing telephone and helicopter presets either.
Time to shut down the "where are all the new plugins" thread.Numanoid wrote:Four new synths in less than a week, sweet times are here again
