Sugarbytes Artillery is good, and if you can find it there was also a free edition given away with Computer Music a few years ago...

Stutter edit is the absolute TITS.
Probably one of the few times I paid full price and didn't mind at all. The control via keyboard makes for some phenomenal glitch processing.

Have you compared it to Melda though? I'm sure Stutter Edit beats it, by how much? I'm the OP and I'm still considering MRhythmizer on the sale.

it is pretty intuitive and you can create really nice fx on the fly

However. Technical capacities and complexity aside, I think MRhythm has more day-to-day usefulness. The way you can use it as a turntable or tape emulator to pull off all kinds of effects (both insert or send) is pretty good. It's more versatile. It's hard to "hide" stutter edit; not a problem with Melda.
If you're serious about your chop arsenal and can afford it, go for both.

MRythmizer is also triggerable from your keyboard in the same way as stutter edit. It only misses the delay and digitizer (and the synth thing that izotope put in there for whatever reason. I did a little experiment the other day and was able to make an insane Rythmizer, Artillery, stutter edit on steroids combo using mxxx. It does stuff like triggering a massive reversed grain cloud run through a tuned comb filter while doing a complex stutter pattern with scratching.

Sorry to hear it doesn`t work at your end. Fortunately, it somehow still works perfectly for me on my aging Thinkpad (Windows 7 SP1 64bit). One of my fave plugins of all time..
