Hi, I'm new so not sure the best forum to post this in, but I'm wondering if someone can verify whether powering On or Off the Alesis 3630 Compressor causes the front panel lights to flash for an instant. I'm getting a loud thump through my speakers whenever I turn it on or off. I've tried disconnecting inputs and outputs and I still get the flash. Not sure if this is normal or if it needs a repair. Thanks.

I don't have experience with this specific device, but what you describe is quite normal. Usually it won't harm, but it's good practice to power on the monitors last and switch them off first.

I have the Alesis 3632 and it does the same thing. This is pretty typical for audio gear which is why should always turn down the output to your speakers before you turn any equipment on or off. Your 3630 might not blow your speakers, but it is only a matter of time before something does, so it's a good idea to get into the habit now.
You should be powering on from the sound source to the speakers, and powering down from the speakers back to the sound source. This protects the entire signal chain.
