Thank you Barry! You've re-inspired me to use SR-202 again. So simple & fun. I wish Muon would've made an upgraded version of this VST.

I'm glad I Inspired you. I'll probably be making some more in the not to distant future, however I'm doing some more patches for synth 1 at the moment and that tends to be quiet time consuming.
B.T.W thanks to all who have left comments, that inspires me to make more.

Maybe some info or preview? Downloaded two kits out of curiosity, but it appears that the samples are not mapped the way one would expect (first pad = kick etc.), which makes them pretty unusable, since you can't change the MIDI notes assigned to the pads: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22427

Not really with you on that, Don't know what D.A.W you use but I use ableton live and find it simple enough to get the sound I want from the layout of the Drum samples that make up the kit, but that's just me. However I'm just an amateur and just do this for fun so if anyone else finds these useless please let me know and perhaps give me some tips and how I can improve these kits.bitcrush01 wrote:Maybe some info or preview? It would definitely help if you provided some info about the kits, like are they acoustic? electronic? Did you sample drum machines, drum plugins or use free samples? See, I thought "All About Da Bass Kit" is maybe related to that song, thus a Motown type of kit, which it isn't, but how am I supposed to know that?
Ideally you should be able to load a different kit while a drum pattern is running, which would require a coherent mapping/layout (first pad = kick drum etc.)barrybitter wrote: Don't know what D.A.W you use but I use ableton live and find it simple enough to get the sound I want from the layout of the Drum samples that make up the kit, but that's just me.

@barrybitter - I think they're very useful. The Poise drum sampler imports SR-202 kits and gives you a lot of flexibility. The only legitimate problem I've found is the snare in the Zulu kit is almost non-existent. There seems to be a lot of silence before the sample. I got all three kits. I think they sound very nice. Thank you.
The samples are the most important thing. I don't have a problem rearranging them if it becomes necessary. Maybe I'd feel different if I wasn't using a good drum sampler?

Well I'm really just an amateur when it comes to music production, all I do is make the samples using ableton live drumkits and or Vsti & FX. It does not matter to me how the samples are arranged as I would use ableton's Midi editor to re-arrange the samples if needed. Maybe in future I could upload the samples for you if you like. See what I don't understand is why the first pad needs to be a 'kick', but maybe that's just my lack of knowledge of music production. I appreciate you taking the time to explain bitcrush01, but what I would say to anyone downloading the files is they are only small so is it really a problem if it turns out they are of no use to you. Download, and if you don't like then nothing is lost.bitcrush01 wrote:It would definitely help if you provided some info about the kits, like are they acoustic? electronic? I never really noticed that with the Zulu Kit, I'll have a look when I've got more time and see if I can rectify that and re-upload the kit.omac wrote:@barrybitter - I think they're very useful.
