I dream about it indeed, but I highly doubt it will happen. I simply can't see any reason for them to offer it for free.Suloo wrote:sounds more like a free upgrade for me,...

i'm working on a project someone sent me.
i have different audio files for each of the drum parts, but i got no MIDI.
and i don't like the kick drum he recorded.
could i use the kick drum audio file to trigger SAK?
-------------
edit:
i just found a few Youtube videos on how to do that inside Studio One using gates, Melodyne and other techniques.

You would need the MIDI notes to do this, I've a vague recollection of doing something like this using Pro Tools at one point - i can't remember if it was automated or whether i did it manually

Why not include them in the plugin parameters ? (or at least the first 12 nodes, for examples)bryansonic wrote:Everything that can be mapped will be mappable yes. I guess the only real tricky parts are the envelope nodesbungle wrote:Bryan, is every control on this registered to the host ?
The first version is unusable in Maschine without continually switching to mouse/keyboard, because so many controls are not registered with the host.
Being to automate/control the shape of the envelope would be a huge plus for me.

Hey Bryan
Amped for this! I hope you added some of the feature requests I and others posted ages ago to your SA KICK forum.
Please tell me that the bar below the main graph is for zoom?!
Will it load v1 presets by any chance? I have made hundreds of classy psytrance, minimal and techno kicks in the past year. Would be nice to not have to recreate my favourites in v2.
Cheers and all the best for final testing and the release.

I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored...

It won't load them but we will probably release a the converter tool to those of you who want it (it's not 100% because we totally rebuilt the plugin but it will get you to 99% )djscorb wrote: Will it load v1 presets by any chance? Me too. It's one of the main reasons I love the cableguys plugins, and keep going back to them. I bought the first version of Kick, but haven't used it much because it lacked automatable envelopes. Morphing/transitioning (via interpolation) between envelope settings is usually a big part of how I like to work.Spip wrote:Being to automate/control the shape of the envelope would be a huge plus for me.

Ok, totally understand about backwards preset compatibility. A conversion tool sounds like a practical solution to get the best presets from v1 to v2. I'm amazingly happy about the zoom, it will make crafting the attack much easier.bryansonic wrote:sure isdjscorb wrote:Hey Bryan

If theres a way to extend or shorten kicks without changing the sweep, and add nodes without disturbing the curve, I'll be one happy bunny!
And please make sure the fade out on the amp envelope is smooth with no clicks. V1 was a bit dodgy in that regard!
I'll buy it the second it drops regardless
Cheers

I would really like to see a fine tuning option (shift+drag) 53,8 Hz for the end of the pitch envelope etc. The current snap to Hz(note) behaviour is too inaccurate. Sure it works somehow, but it could be perfect..just sayin
