There's a Tom Sawyer patch in the presets, have you seen?
And there is no need to invert it, the D part of the envelope makes the sweep.

Aren't the patches in fxp/fxb format ?
If yes, then every VST compatible host should be able to load them.

In FL-Studio load an instance of OBXD, go to VST wrapper settings > Presets > Load

Huckleberry Finn :) But that isn't an inverted sweep, it doesn't appear possible. I don't believe the OB-X had it, OP-X Pro II also doesn't have it (that I can tell).
No, I did a patch that (IMO) recreates well the Sawyer Bass. It's called Rush Sawyer Bass, and is in my Bank (called OB-Xa Patch Book).

Ah, ok. But my point is the synth doesn't do inverted envelopes, which is correct, no?
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Just like the OB-X... And Rush used the OB-X, if I'm not mistaken

it does do inverted envelopes and even self oscillation. but they're the new hidden features that didn't make it on the GUI. read the manual. you can access them if your DAW supports GUI-less view (or use minhosts like chainer etc which let you access the gui-less view).

Cool! Now I have that lead in my head haha

Hey, guys. Can anyone point me towards a good OBXD patch for Subdivisions by Rush (main/opening rhythm keyboard part)?

I've gotten sort of close playing around with the many Jump presets (lol), but still not quite there.

Also, any tips on FX I'll need to add in SONAR? Probably a healthy dose of reverb at least?

Thanks, and by the way OBXD is fantastic!

I kind of remember the same question in this thread some few months ago.
I'll do a Google search with site:kvraudio.com switch. :)
[edit]No, the song was mentioned in some other thread.

I hear at least 3 different synth sounds there.

I think that the OBXd is one of the best and most authentic synth emulations I have ever heard..

Nice work...!

I have a few rather serious issues:

I'm using the Audio Units version, and have recently been using the Korg Minilogue as a control surface for it.
The physical position of the controls on the Minilogue are nearly exactly the same as the OBX-d, it's uncanny, and since they are actual pots it makes programming very intuitive and fast.

However, none of the mapped controller assignments are saved in the AU version, and there is no provision to save an ".fxp" preset. None of the mapped controllers are saved in Logic when saving a either a preset or the entire project. This is very frustrating.

Secondly, the noise level pot on the Minilogue, when mapped to the noise level control on the OB-Xd seems to always control the vibrato depth... is there a way to disable that?

PS: Here is a demo sequence I came up with using only the OB-Xd and a bit of drums from a different project. All of the patches are my own creations, and there were no effects used at all..

Hello I am interested to learn more about these features I have read the manual and looked at the control view and could not find the parameters in question. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Just use Logic's controller assignments to MIDI learn the controls; then it will be persistent for all instances from then on.

Thank you beely, however the OBXD is not passing any of it's parameters to Logic so I cannot assign controllers.
I tested every other softsynth (Aurturia, Logic's built in synths, etc) and all of them perform as expected when
using Logic's controller assignment's MIDI learn function.
