Ah bummer, that's not so good... :(

It's strange, since all of the Obxd parameters appear in the automation list, and are therefor accessible from a control surface..
I also tried using "smart controls" to map some of the knobs, but it was somewhat unpredictable..

I've had to press "reset controller assignments" so often that I am always a bit wary of using them because they are so tedious to set up and there is no way to back them up.

Yes there is, you back up the control surfaces preferences file, that's where the assignments are stored. Then you can always replace from backup if they get hosed.

And yes, controller assignments have been terribly unreliable for years, then they finally got fixed in LPX until the last few updates broke them again... :dog:

Remember that OBXD is now open source, so you can try to fix and add anything you want. :)

Is the "backup" a simple file swap or is there a means of importing the controller assignments by themselves?

Also if you have a specific list of controller assignment issues, let me know and I'll report them to the programmers...

Fantastic.. where is the source code?

Yeah, just quit Logic, and replace the control surface pref file with a copy of your fresh safe backup, then restart Logic.

In LPX 10.2.1, all third-party plugin controller assignments break. Any assignments made pre 10.2.1 (I have nearly a thousand) come up as "Unknown plugin" in 10.2.1 (and 10.2.2). Verified by others, thread here:

The only way to currently get my controller assignments working in 10.2.1+ is to relearn all of them. :dog:  :x

Yikes, what a pain.

I wonder if it wasn't intentional...

Well, after discovering this in 10.2.1 that's why I waited to see whether it was fixed in 10.2.2 (ie, whether it was a silly bug, or whether the behaviour was changed for some reason and it would stay this way).

If I'd started fixing all the assignments (it was painful enough to do them int the first place), and it was a bug that was then fixed, it would be a wasted effort. That's why that forum thread isn't marked as a "bug" as we don't know yet whether it *is* a bug, or an intended change in behaviour.

Which makes it difficult to decide what to do about it, other than stay with 10.2.0 for the time being, which is what I'm doing, and wait and see how it shakes out.

I spent a few hours last night creating controller assignments for a few (non Logic) instruments, starting by creating a new zone, etc.. at the end I clicked on the new zone I had created and all it showed was a blank panel with "no assignments" on it.

Hello I am interested to learn more about these features I have read the manual and looked at the control view and could not find the parameters in question. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!!
Bump please! :-)

The download link is dead. I read back a few pages to see if a new link had been posted, but saw nothing. Not gonna dig thru 150 pages of thread to find it.
I just want to get the 64-bit version, cuz I've only got the 32-bit version installed right now -- my previous OS was 32-bit, so I discarded the 64-bit version at the time.
Thx :)
