Cheers John, still figuring out Nectar 2 Production Suite before I get into these Vocal packs.

I did not buy Nectar mostly because it was a bit heavy on my system, but I know I would have used it only for its Midi controlled Harmonizer (very cool), DeBreath (when it worked was good), DeEsser and Doubler. Didn't like its pitch editor. Everything else, EZmix is just fine, quick and very light on cpu.

That's something IK multimedia would do. I don't expect anything like that from TT.

Not a review as such but I just noticed TT have released JamTrack Amps EZmix Pack.

The demos sound great.

I like the fact that it is a collection of very different styles/genres (from jazz to prog metal), the only one in the EMX library. I don't like partnerships with YouTube-trends though.

Yeah, I just picked that one up now to finish off another pick-your-own 6 pack. It's good to see something different from the typical impulse-response based mix packs that have been released from Toontrack recently (i.e. guitar/bass cabinets and room reverbs).

I don't own any of those plug-ins you mentioned, so I would not be able to comment about similarities. This preset packs looks like a nice little collection of miscellaneous creative effects. I would expect it to work well for electronic genres especially.

There's an interview with the developer (Matt Eklund) at Toontrack's website, including this quote:
"What was your general idea behind the Filters & Modulation EZmix Pack? – My idea was to create something that was moving, like, you strum a chord and it will evolve. Either with frequency modulations or pitch modulations. We have some LFOs built into our backend engine that we use to create these preset packs and this is the first time they get used to this extent. The only problem is that I could create many, many more presets. Unfortunately, but I had to draw the line at 50."

Sounds good indeed. Then again, just checked that wonderful Echobode by Sonic Charge. Does the same but much more. Has lots of presents and allows you to tweak to your heart's content. Comparing that one with the Filters & Modulation pack leaves the latter far behind. It's nice to see Toontrack provide an example of every preset on their website though. But, as Eklund seems to admit, it's just too limited for exactly that what it aims at: modulation in all its forms.

What a terrific thread! Looks like it hasn't been particularly active lately though. I sold all my EZmix stuff last year but decided to get back on board this year. I miss it. Even with tons of other stuff in my plugin locker (Fabfilter, Slate, Waves) the EZmix plugin is my little idea box.

Just picked up the new Ambient Reverbs pack and I love it. Instantly found this great presets that worked well with piano filling in all the space around it with sustained octaves and overtones. Good stuff for sure. Anyone pick up Ambient Delays yet?
