Now i reckon someone has learned the basic idea that our brains osciallate at 7 hz (except they dont)
To be precise such an oscialltion does exist in the temporal lobes, which are an undeniably important part of the brain. But this can easily extend up to about 13 Hz before i would bother to tell the consultant about it. Such high frequencies are usually seen in alcoholics and people on speed type medications and some anti psyxchotics. It would also be mixed in with extensive short bursts at other unharmonic frequencies between 7 and 13 hZ - if these are not present I would defintely get the consultant - unless I knew they were medicated up to the eyeballs
Of course the underlying waves in the occipital lobes (eyesight) are at a lower frequency - but the runs are as before
So in conclusion there is no consistent frequencies aparent in someones head (unless they have caused a deliberate imbalance to their brain chemistry) - while there is a consistent frequency it varies between different areas of the brain - and it always mixed with runs at other frequencies which are in no way harmonic with previously mentioned frequencies
so that bit about 8 hz being in tune with our brains is defintely cobblers
i have my suspicions (!) about the electrons moving bit too but i cant be arsed getting the text books out
