Totally new at Logic. Is the only way to get "new" midi into Logic is to record it in real time? That mind sound silly, but in Pro Tools, you can change the track to "notes" and draw in the midi notes - the entire track is visible, without hitting record. With Logic, I can only seem to record midi in real time, then go into the editor and, of course, change it. But I'm sure missing the quick ability to draw in, for instance, drum grooves in Punch without having to it in real time pressing the keys on my midi controller.
I hope I'm explaining this good enough.
