Duh I just figured it out.........
Here the INIT patch Envelope Release times are set to 100% hence the "stuck" or sustaining notes. I'm not used to an INIT Patch setting release to 100% so didn't think to look until now. So I wonder why the INIT patch didn't do the same thing on the studio computer? I'll have to look into it further.............

That would explain the "stuck" notes. But I don't understand why INIT gives you these settings. INIT should set both release values to 20.Teksonik wrote:Duh I just figured it out.........Here the INIT patch Envelope Release times are set to 100% hence the "stuck" or sustaining notes. Just to be sure: Are you talking about a patch which is somehow restored from the plugin, or the one you get after hitting the "INIT" button?

This from simply loading the plugin. Not touching the interface at all. It loads with Decay, Sustain, and Release all at 100% on both Envelopes. I thought it might be a permissions issue since the config file wasn't being created in the folder I had dropped the .dll into at first but I created a new folder, the config file was created but it still loads with the INIT patch with DSR at 100%. I'll have to check the studio computer since obviously something is different there.........

I tried it on a FL12.2 demo version, and cannot reproduce the problem.Teksonik wrote:This from simply loading the plugin. Not touching the interface at all. I don't know enough about FL. Does it have some kind of cache for plugin information? Can you try to completely remove the plugin and make sure that FL does not see it before trying to install the plugin again?

Ok I got it now. I removed PG8X then did a re-scan, then reinstalled and did another re-scan and now the INIT patch has reasonable ADSR values. I don't know how it managed to get corrupted in the first place but it's fine now. Sorry to trouble you.

Hi. Don't worry. I am glad it works now.Teksonik wrote:Ok I got it now. I removed PG8X then did a re-scan, then reinstalled and did another re-scan and now the INIT patch has reasonable ADSR values. I guess what happened is the following. A few versions back I changed the value range, reported to the host from 0-1 to 0-99 to be more consistent with the values, displayed on the GUI. I guess the host must have stored that information somehow, and then got confused when finding the plugin with rescaled values. Clearing the cache and re-scanning must have deleted this wrong information and fixed the problem.
It is valuable information in case somebody else stumbles over the same problem.
Thanks for reporting and digging into it.
Cheers,
Martin

The AU-Version 2.0.0 gets validated in Logic.
Version 2.0.3 and 2.0.5 don't.
Could this be fixed?
Thanks,
Florian

The AU versions are currently still experimental.
I just tried again, and now can confirm the validation failure. I will have a look.

I just recompiled the AU and checked that it passes validation. Please try the current AU version (2016-04-02) and let me know whether it works.flonky wrote:The AU-Version 2.0.0 gets validated in Logic.

Please note, that the patch problem is not yet solved.

Hi
I just downloaded the 32-bit version of PG8X. It looks great and the sound is great to. I used to own the real JX8P back in the days and this takes me back to that time. I did however come across a problem. I am using FLS 12.1.3 - 32bit. Right now I am using my laptop only because I am travelling. What I found is that the GUI scale does not fit the screen, i.e. I cant access the lower part of the GUI (Envelopes, LFO and Chorus). Is there any possibility to scale it down manually?
I am sure this is not a problem once I am home in my studio, using an external monitor. I will keep testing this gem, design some sounds from the old days and have fun with it. If I find anything strange I will get back to you. Once again, great work!
Cheers!

The GUI size is already a compromise, as others complained that the fonts are getting too small and unreadable, especially on higher resolution displays.I simply do not have the time resources to get into a scalable GUI. However, I tried to make sure that it still fits even on laptop displays.
I just had a look at it in FL, and saw that possible issues are the big toolbars added by FL and also the fact that, by default, you cannot move it upwards over the transport bars.
Both can be changes in FL. You can disable the controls added by FL by clicking on the little gear wheel in the title bar of the plugin. In the menu, which you can get by clicking the little triangle on the left of the title bar, you can select 'Detached' which allows you to move the plugin all the way up to the top of the screen.
That should give you enough space to see at least the top of the sliders, which should be enough to move them, as you do not have to grab the handle itself.
I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Martin

Hi Martin.
Yeah, that was good advice to detach the plugin. I never used that approach before and thanks to you I learned something new about FLS.
Cheers!
