Getting some beautiful clunky chunky moving filtered hits out of StiX which suits my style of music perfectly.

Would be super impressed if the probability function in the sequencer became a reality (one of the features i love about tremor) ... it would also be great if the named drum pads at the top 'lit up' when its corresponding sound is triggered.

In all - great work this is my new go to drum synth.

:D
Thanks.
Flashing drum pads and probabilities ( of a drum sound beeing triggered or not by the sequencer I assume) : We'll add this to the FR.

We’re having a contest for StiX : 3 categories, 18 winners, 18 Xils-Lab instruments to win, more than 1500 € of prizes.
DEADLINE for submissions : March 31th 2016
Today I will try to upload the 3 presets chosen among the 52 I made,
but I had some issues with them in latest betas,
nothing unsolvable but with the scarce free time my mp3s are not ready yet. Maybe you decided to add some days? Since also the recent bug fixes.

Thanks
Lotuzia wrote:HellOo Luigi, glad to see you here.

52 presets ?:tu: You could easily make at least 2 different tries for the contest :)
Hi Lotuzia.

52 presets are now 53, including 250 custom drumpads and 53 patterns each with at least 5 variations each
totalling more than 260 new patterns, <wink>

So I managed yesterday to sent 3 presets with the relative mp3 to stix[at]xils-lab[dot]com,
got no reply, so I hope they arrived. Of course it was very hard to choose 3 among the many,
I could have not chose the winners, but how could I know! Simply I chose three different ones.

I also have a demo song in the making. StiX is very good for polyrhyhthms and I like that.

I reported some bugs to Xavier, like the SampleRate issue. Glad to see they're gonna be fixed.
Ok, but please, dont be too late :) Winners presets will be probably included in StiX v1.01, possibly with new features like per drum HP/LP additional simple filter.:
HP/LP are welcome, it would be great to filter the noise on an alternative channel than the oscillators.

Hi Lalo,

Could you please try to install the V0.99F, that have been ULed today, and see if it fixes this problem ? Thanks. L.
Hi Laurent,
yes the bug is still here in V0.99F.

Hmmm. Could you please send me the Kit by email Alfonso, so that we can see what went wrong and try to replicate the bug ? ( Also possibly the samples, if the drumkit contains some external sample data not present in StiX factory library )

A tutorial about the Sequencer Micro Position parameter : Deals with how to make Snare/Claps layers as large, or tight as you need, make shakers groove, or make Toms fills sound more natural and large. Also Reverse sounds. You can adapt this for a part in your Daw, and adapt to other purposes like differentiating the percussion lines from strict drum lines, to make them breathe and be more distinct in the mix. Well, it's about drums :)

I'd recommend to listen to it with good monitors or headphones, full audio quality, and full screen.

Cool, I use both Reaper and Ableton so good to know the former will be OK soon - do you have an ETA, looks like the 0.99 release candidate is still on the site though thought v1.0 was due a few days ago ? (guessing last minute gremlins snuck in !)

Here is another track using StiX. I'll get into the micro-positioning and other more dynamic features soon.

Yes, some last minute checking and proofing.

StiX v1.0 has been released this morning :)

Nice track. he title reminds me of 'Hiroshima mon amour', don't know why. Maybe the epic vibe in it. :tu:

Really glad the Micro Position tutorial retained your attention ( cos those tuts take me a lot of time) . The results are spectacular imho, both in replicating some drums rudiments like Flams with ultimate flexibility, but also to enhance a stereo scene, and to play all those percussions instruments accurately, make *reverse* effects etc.

loving Stix, latest version is working great and sounding great
i was wondering if we could have some locks on the drumpads so when changing a kit or randomizing, the locked drumpads stay the same while only the unlocked drumpads change

Very happy with it... Easy to use but there's a lot of gold under the hood for potential sound design. Great job!
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Sorry to bother, but have anyone else entered the contest?
