Well...it's been about 1.5 days since I requested a license key(so much for Nektar's 24 hour response time)...and I've contacted Nektar and Bitwig....if I don't hear from anyone soon...then I would say that either Nektar and/or Bitwig need more employees....or that they've simply abandoned their customers.
I love my Impact LX88 and I don't need the Bitwig 8 track, but thus far, their customer service is truly disappointing.

You can post in their forum here in KVR as well, if you haven't done that already.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49 and some software instruments / synths.

I got a response from Niels at 10:00 his morning and this is what he said; "We should be able to get the license to you today."EnGee wrote:You can post in their forum here in KVR as well, if you haven't done that already.
I am very pleased to have received a response, but I submitted my request Sunday evening & I still don't know for certain,if I'll get the license today....perhaps they got inundated with e-mails over the course of the weekend?
It seems that the sales of Nektar products are abundant and the company is struggling to keep up with the demand.
I don't imagine that I'll ever have a purpose for upgrading to the full version of Bitwig....but I am curious as to what the upgrade price is(as perhaps I'll have a need for it in the future...off to Bitwig's website...

Finally got everything squared away & I'm up & running. It's strange though, that my transport controls are not working in Bitwig.I downloaded the Bitwig Studio configuration and yet,I had to manually set up everything & it still doesn't work right.
Everything was effortless & automatic when I downloaded the Nektar configurations for Studio One and Reason(I must have overlooked some critical detail...

Began fiddling with the controller settings in the preferences section of Bitwig and when I hit the auto-detect button,I got the transport controls working, but the key-bed was disabled....wtf?

This makes no sense,as when I click on the download from the list,it just takes me to the main page of Nektar's website.EnGee wrote:Have you downloaded the script from here?AlesisVi61 wrote:Began fiddling with the controller settings in the preferences section of Bitwig and when I hit the auto-detect button,I got the transport controls working, but the key-bed was disabled....wtf?

Have you checked your account at Nektar?

With Bitwig Studio installed, locate the “Impact_LX_Support” that you downloaded from “My Downloads” on www.nektartech.com after registering your product

Because Nektar is the writer of the script I guess. Have you read this:
http://www.nektartech.com/c.1289520/Dow ... Studio.pdf
Check if you have the configuration as in the image. If you still have a problem, I suggest to contact Nektar support first.
Anyway, by reading some of that PDF file, Nektar LX keys seems to have a very nice integration with Bitwig. I think it worth it to contact the support of both companies (starting with Nektar first).
edit,
oops! Numanoid worte the link first!

Well...the strngest thing happened...as I re-launched the Bitwig Studio set up and then when I launched Bitwig 8 Track,I recieved a prompt for an updated version.
So I ran that and closed Bitwig and when I re-launched Bitwig, everything was in place & there was nothing else I needed to do.
Thanks for the help though,guys.

Well...as a demo,Bitwig is a complete bust for me...as the synths are nothing special and no acoustic sounds.Also...just to lay down a decent drum track, requires 3 track in total.
The idea I had,was to try and create an interesting tune, just using the included sounds...but there's almost nothing to work with.I don't mean to say anything disparaging about Bitwig, but in terms of the modular and 64/32 bit support(I already have that covered with my other DAW's.)
So in essence,Bitwig was merely an experiment for me and as it turns out...I have no use for it,so I am uninstalling it and moving on.
