So you moved on from Studio One bashing to maschine I see. Do you even own maschine? Or do you just read about it online?

Oh by the way NI just hired a maschine product specialst for the LA, NY, and Atlanta area. Atlanta is huge market for hip hop producers (that's their main market). So with us backing them maschine isn't going anywhere. Mate Galic already said they aren't gunning for Logic. "Of course their is going to be a maschine 3, 4 and so on. We are not trying to compete with logic". Something like that. Like it or not maschine will dominate the market when the sequencer get's fixed. As for an update, keir Ni's community manager said redoing the sequencer will take a long time. Maschine's lead developer was working on reaktor 6 recently. He also was apart of the kore team. Kore had to go and so they dedicated their resources to maschine. If you own, maschine sounds like you made the wrong purchase.
Talking rubbish in every forum you visit i see, wonder if you can get as many people banned here as you do at the NI forum mr Shill.
OK lets begin haha
1 They just hired a Maschine product specialist for LA, NY and Atlanta - Why would anybody care
2 Hip Hop Producers are their main market - SO either you work for NI (To know what their main market is) or you are just making this up, Which is it ?
3 Why would they try to compete with Logic, and why would you even mention that ? There are plenty of DAWs that have zero competition with Logic, how come you don't mention Akai MPC becoming a DAW, that would be its direct competition, no ?
4 Maschine will dominate what market when the sequencer gets fixed ? Oh and you, actually you, mr shill himself, admitting here that the sequencer is broke ? (You exact words, the sequencer gets fixed hahaha)
5 Keir has little insight in to Maschine development, You asked if i own Maschine, have you ever actually spoken to Keir or any of these other people (I have) so unless you are going to state something that you know, and not something that is being read off the company mandate, then don't bother mr Shill
6 Maschines lead developer working on Reaktor 6, also worked on Kore "Kore had to go" hahaha, but hey Maschine will never go, Maschine has no lead developer, Reaktor has a developer, Maschine is his spare time project, it gets updates when it needs them to ship new expansions, nothing more, the only time it gets any major update is when they need to ship a new iteration of hardware, and even then they remove as many features as they add, and then promise to put them back and never do, this is not guess/shill work, this is exactly what happened from 1.8 to 2.

Do i own Maschine (You know i do, don't play games) was it the right purchase, yes, (Even if that is just to laugh at the total bullsh*t you post constantly) understanding the truth and stating the truth does not mean that i do not enjoy a product haha, now please, go back to the forum you feel safe in because you can SHill you way in to getting people banned as you see fit.
What genre of music do you produce? if you feel this way about maschine why are you still using it in the first place?

Maschine will get better for sure.

i think Maschine will eventually go the way of Kore, i.e. NI will no longer feel like developing it. if i was a person considering buying Maschine for the first time & i went over to the Maschine forums to see what people are talking about, i would run away, far far away. but alas, i bought my Maschine right after Kore was discontinued for a pretty good deal, and while i use it every day, many things about it are infuriating & things that NI said they were gonna fix/develop 5 years ago sit on their dead roadmap.

there's a jerk on the Maschine forum who constantly tells people who get frustrated w/its lack of development to sell their Maschine, like it's that easy. NI ties sales of one product to another product to another product. i don't think i would be able to sell Maschine unless i sold Kore and Komplete (which i have considered, but, being poor, realized that even if i did sell all that stuff, i still wouldn't be able to afford to replace everything w/Live & Push 2). i think NI's core philosophy changed from being "the future of sound" to "how are our quarterly earnings?" right around the time they discontinued Kore. i just don't see this new-styled NI focusing much on Maschine anymore (except expansion packs, of course).

You don't see that because they aren't telling users what they are doing. Everybody got spoiled from on the record sessions. Don't you use sonar? Then use a plug in like geist or look at mpc touch or used drum machine. No need continuing to give your money to NI's products you don't like. As far as selling your stuff. Trust me you have the choice to sell your NI products on ebay. My friend has komplete and FL Studio goes to school and works two jobs. He is beyond broke. He sold komplete and flipped that and bought second hand stuff off gearslutz while using FL Studio. He is much happier now. People hold on to maschine and komplete because they know NI make good products. Selling and Buying equipment/software is a sacrifice for doing music production as a hobby or professionally. Knowing Native Instruments cater to the hip hop audience, does it make any sense to just have komplete and traktor left on your portfolio and to piss of the many many producers big names or upcoming producers who use maschine? If akai can continue to develop the mpc, NI can do it with maschine. Yes they are moving slow because they are working it, and your still hanging around like many of us waiting. And it's no doubt you will buy it and update when they drop an update. As far as kore they told us why they discontinued you bring it up 1000 times. Your mad about that, but based on that you then went out and bought maschine? Knowing you liked kore and it made you upset investing it why go out again and buy that companies product? I've had the same feelings about m-audio, steinberg and never bought their products again based on my experiences. I researched other products and move on.

I am one of those guys whose blood start to get hotter every time I think about Kore. The way NI handled it was a disaster from a public relations point of view. From The Future Of Synthesis to F-ck That Sh-t in 0.3 seconds flat - but lookie-lookie here's a new toy for you! It served as a good reminder that NI is just like any other company. Their main interest is to earn money not to be consistent, and that is something I always keep in mind when it comes to Native Instruments.

That being said - your example of your broke friend actually points to a deeper and more fundamental issue, namely workflow. I cannot deal with Maschine. I bought the first generation - I hated everything about it. Bought Maschine v2 and the studio controller - a HUGE improvement. To me, the difference between v1 and v2 is like night and day. But I can still not gel 100% with Maschine, and I can't put my finger on what it is. Something similar goes on with me and Komplete - on paper it looks fantastic with all those libraries and synths - but I'm not too fond of the sounds to be honest. And the sheer amount makes me feel more like a librarian rather than a producer.

I make more music and more interesting music with a bloody Korg Volca Sample than I do with Komplete  The same thing goes with Geist, or Elektron Analog Rytm.

I think it has more to do with that personal connection between you as an individual and the tool. And sometimes when stripping down your options you regain focus on what you originally wanted to do.
