Really, why has it come to this?

I don't know. I personally find it inspiring, and I like it, and all the haters in the world won't rip me away from it. It does what I want, I don't care about the rest.

That said, hmmm, I think I'll pick up Cubase, as well. :hihi:

Everyone knows my story.

First, I used it for a long time. Successfully I might add.

Second, they changed the forum. Now you'd think that that is not a big deal, but what they did was "promote" a bunch of exaggerated fanbois that pissed all over everyone for daring to want something, need something, or ask something. A terrible tragedy because it was a great place before that. Maybe the best forum I've ever seen before that.

Then there was the cpu thing. 2.x was unusable for me with virtually ANYTHING NATIVE INSTRUMENTS (that was always the really big one for horrible engine stopping spikes), Eike confirmed the issue, worked with me, 2.5 was MUCH better, but before his departure admitted they had to change back 2.6 and then it was a real problem (can't wait for that troll of trolls to chime in and start giving me a rough time about that again  )

Then when 3 came out, there was still no CPU optimization (which they admit) and it was time to move on. The last straw for me was one of their idiot mods pm'img me because I made a negative opinion about the product. That was it. Done....see ya!

For people who use it, like it, and don't have the CPU issues, more power to ya! Fantastic product feature wise. I miss it  But I cannot combine the above stuff and still be a supported (and I did for a very long time)

I'm sorry you've had problems with S1 and PreSonus' policies over on their forums. :( I wasn't there before, so I don't know what it was like.

It's just that any time anyone posts anything positive, you have a certain cast of characters jump in a put it down, whether or not that thread had anything to do with what they post in their insults. Gettin' a little tiring.

Why do some people get really butt hurt over negative comments about S1 ?
They do realise that the people making those comments are actual users of S1 haha
Just because it is perfect for you, does not mean you have the right to assume it is perfect for everybody else or even working as advertised for everybody else, it gets a little tiring !!
Duh

Post

Again, it's a great product feature wise and I'm really happy it's working for you (and others) just keep in mind, there is a reason people talk down about certain things. It's not "just because" or just being negative.

I probably should stop saying anything because it's whiskey under the bridge, but I'm the chatty type

And that's going the "other" direction.

Here's a fact that is probably lost on many: In the year 2016 I think that some of the petty things that go on are just unacceptable. It's it's broke, fix it ;) If it's one person, that's different. But it's not. It's a plethora of people. That's not just being negative, there is something wrong in the picture. (and no, it's not entitlement to expect something to work! )

Ooops, I did it again :ud: Ok, I'll bow out.

Post

No, I get it, and this IS the thread to talk about it. :hihi:

I'm just saying that there are certain people who will jump in ANY thread about S1 and talk it down, no matter what the subject is.

Yes, it's working for me, and as long as PreSonus keeps putting out updates, I'm happy. I don't get upset that people make negative comments about what I like. What I get offended by is people who jump in EVERY S1 thread and bitch about something they NO LONGER USE, because it hasn't worked for them in some time. It's like they can't stand that some people are happy with a product. I'm sorry it didn't work for (the general) you. Get over it. ;)

Not talking about you, incubus. :)

Someone could ask a question about how to accomplish something in S1, and without fail, one of several will come into that thread and essentially say that S1 is shit and PreSonus is shit and everyone should abandon it.

I honestly think that some of the stability issues on Mac are Apple's fault. They seem to break a LOT of software. Most of the time said software is updated, though, so I can't say one way or another what the issue is with S1 and Mac, though I will say, PreSonus themselves use S1 on a Mac.

I like FL Studio and I have no plans yet to change, even though it gets trashed in many threads around KVR. But who cares. Some people like apple pie and others like strawberry pie. Thats Life! I never used S1 but it looks great and the information I got about S1 so far makes me interested in it.

Some times I am not so sure that all haters have even used S1 or FL Studio, or what ever DAW or plugin they are ranting about. I just Think some people get a kick out of aggrevate other people. Just ignore that s**t and don't feed the haters 8)

Peace!

NOTE: This thread is tongue-in-cheek. I don't honestly care what others think or say about it and I'm not actually afraid to post an S1 thread. ;)

As I said in another thread, I sold my cubase 8 and wavelab (been with cubase 6 years) as I much prefer the workflow in S13. I have no CPU issues on Windows, in fact no issues at all; it just works.

To me it is the best DAW for recording live/real instruments (comping, melodyne etc)m I can pretty much get to whatever I need with one click (never a need to open a new window) and it is realy fast to navigate and pretty easy to learn. Be able to serial and parallel fx and VSTis to make new powerful multis is pretty cool (although I still prefer BWS for loop based EDM or modular mayhem!

Only downside of S1 I find us that it doesn't get a lot of support/visibility from hardware manufactures - for example, no nektar p6 support, no access virus support (although it works fine it isn't on the list of officially supported DAWs).
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I'd buy a P4 in a heartbeat if it supported S13.

Don't think i'll ever get this bash on forums against a product and claiming that the user voice doesn't get heard and all that. Probably because i already was around before forums and social media platforms where people can crap all over something, or worship it. Seriously, if you have problems which are so severe with the product that you feel like you have to take a crap every day on forums about it, there's something wrong with you, not the product. And if your view on a certain forum is that "it changed, and now fanbois remove every negativity about it", then there's probably rather your view which has changed about the whole thing. I don't understand why people really think that small companies, like it's usual in this biz, would spend part of their budget to hire shills which advertise for the product, or hire people who remove any negativity which comes up. Just think for a second. Presonus' budget for Studio One is surely not that high that they would hire people to do that, that's just silly. And totally pointless anyway, because, basically, you chop one head of the hydra, while there's loads of others. What about this forum? What about other places where Studio One is discussed? Seriously, i think it's basically your view which has changed, so your view point will be another, and you see positive remarks rather negative, while being in line with the more negative opinions. Also, people like to mob up on the net to talk this bad, and hyping another thing. It sucks, but it's like that.

i am in the exact same boat someone else mentioned in this thread.. i absolutely love studio one... love its features.. I truly think that it can be fantastic. The CPU optimization isnt a big deal to me and I dont understand why its a big deal to anyone (besides people who use a lot of multi outs that maybe max a single core quick) when we have track transform. However, s1 has become a crash fest for me. Like others have said it just isnt as supported as other daws. Most of my software claim they support Logic and Ableton but claim no support for Studio One. I just got tired of finding culprit plugins in s1 that wouldn't be culprit in other daws... it truly is amazing though just not the time for me and her to have our dance.
