been working abit in T7(yes i bought it today:))
been doing some sound design ,maybe its there maybe not,but would like a stereo/mono button(it seems all tracks are stereo.)on tracks
and also a stereo/mono "Switch" on the master channel,so you can test if it sounds good in mono and vice versa
also the master "level meter"dont really makes sense,it would make sense if you could stretch it all the way up and have db readings on it,would like a master meter i can see ALL the time(if that makes sense)
also a clip level "Clip-Gain" (like in studio one)where you can raise the level of a file at clip level.
also more colour choices for tracks.
and if you change the colour of the "track-header" the assoiated clips on that track should have the colour too,no sense in making it a 2 step thing.

Just click the master level/pan thing. It shows a nice big meter in the bottom section.S-N-S wrote:

Click a clip and look in the bottom section. It's labeled "gain".also a clip level "Clip-Gain" (like in studio one)where you can raise the level of a file at clip level.
+1also more colour choices for tracks.
I disagree. I like having different coloured clips on a track. It allows me to differentiate sections and critical edits.and if you change the colour of the "track-header" the assoiated clips on that track should have the colour too,no sense in making it a 2 step thing.
This would be even more useful with more colours though.

+1, too. The clip colours have been limited since V1 as far as I recall, but maybe we can finally get some more. I run out pretty quickly and I'm not someone who makes complicated songs.Robert Randolph wrote:S-N-S wrote:+1also more colour choices for tracks.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Click on a track or clip then then "Render Track" or "Render Clip". There you can either replace or add the new track. There's some advanced options that appear in the export window.S-N-S wrote:is there a bounce to new track option,or do you have to export a channel to bounce??for sound design purposes a bounce to new track would be nice

It would be a nice addition, but for now you can go download Voxengo Span for free.pquenin wrote:Can I add a feature request ?

i noticed that T7 Is WAY more Cpu heavy than Studio one Pro.,this probaly dont have anything to do with it though
in the T7 "Mixer" theres ALOOOOOOT of wasted space, whats the point in that?
maybe a nitpich but
heres a screenshot,i have a exstra monitor connected to my laptop in the studio, thats why the white space, gimp isent working for me right now

you can make it smaller. grab the line between the "mixer" and track-area anywhere, and move it to the right.

I'm sorry but this goes against everything I'm experiencing in my demo. S1 is simply the worst with CPU on three different computers. Now, I understand I'm not using everything yet, but I can have as many plugs as I want so far and I'm at no more than 20%. I promise you that on this system, S1 is MUCH higher.S-N-S wrote:i noticed that T7 Is WAY more Cpu heavy than Studio one Pro.,this probaly dont have anything to do with it though

Always amazes me how so many different people have so many different cpu things. (in other words, I'm certainly not saying you are wrong, but it's not been my experience)
One thing: Since you can have more than one project open with the audio engine running, is it at all possible you have two/three things open? (reason has this as well and sometimes I look at my CPU and think 'holy f**k!!!!!' then realize I have too many projects open)

I know that there are great Spectrum analysers for free, Voxengo Span but also Blue Cat Audio FreqAnalyst or MeldaProduction MAnalyser (my favourite).gigazaga wrote:Yes. But Tracktion is not a DAW packed with synthetizers, drum machines or sounds, it's main goal is recording, arranging, mixing...
So there must be the essential native tools to do these tasks.

i strethced it out to the left,to show theres alot of wasted space
look at say the level meter in the channels, why do there need to be so much unused space to the left/right of it:)
hope you understand what i mean

The level meter, as the other plugins, take the place that is available on the "mixer" area of the track, so no wasted space, right ?
