Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum.
I play keyboards for around 10 years now, but have just became interested in the world of the VSTs and such.
I have a Midi controller connected through a Roland JV-1080 (old but good), and, for some of my main lead sounds, I use guitar distortion and effects coming from a Boss GT-6 multi-effect pedal, and some of my sounds even go through an additional electroharmonix fuzz pedal, all being output to my amp.
So here is the problem i'm facing, I'd like to have a VST that have a nice editable wavetable, suitable for synth players, and that also allows me to add guitar effects to it. I am familiar with sound editing, I did it a lot on my JV-1080, I know it's not the latest synth out there, but I still find it good. I did a lot of research, and I found multiple guitar effect vsts, such as Amplitube, and I found as well multiple synth VSTs...
But the problem is that I cannot find a program which allow me to do both. One example I could give is the way that Guitar Pro 6 works.(I know it's not meant for this and that it doesn't sound good, it's just an example). But still, you can select a waveform, such as a sawtooth lead, and tweak it. and then you can add multiple effects, such as a compressor, a distortion and a fuzz effect for example.
Does anyone have a suggestion for something like that ? Either a stand-alone or a plugin, both are fine.
Or is there any way to combine multiple VSTs in cubase ? Like AmpliTube with a good Prog/Metal Synth VST.
I'm sorry for the monster post, but I'm really lost and I really don't know where to begin my search !

You can chain any number of effects to VST, is some DAWs also connect them in parallel.
