Other opinions than filter 4 got no idea what analogue sound is!
How pleasant when people respectfully exchange ideas and opinions, leaving room for others to disagree with theirs. Really... like a breath of fresh air...
</sarcasm>
I have my own space thanks... I don't need anyone to "leave room" for me. :ud:

I'd love a modern analogue style sequencer VST. There are some out there but the only one that has a decent feature set is Thesys - however the GUI on that is way too fiddly.

It could be something like a wrapper that could hold any VST and would let you sequence not only notes but any control you fancied. Maybe have a page of unlimited and freely assignable LFOs, too.

I'm rambling.

The latest version of Mux VST by Mutools (M7 out soon) has a step sequencer and you can have as many LFO's as you can handle

Ugliness, however, goes right the way through

Ok. I have chosen. In shortlisted have come filter model: [3], [4] & [5]!
And then i couldn´t decide me. In the analog world an oscillator works so, a capacitor is charging, discharging quick and charging linear again. A sawtooth is his basic waveform. I have tried it with OSC1 and the basic waveform. Really. On my screenshot you can see the cutoff with 55,12 and resonance with 80,00 in a spectrum analyzer ... and what i think is. Filter model [3] is giving a bit more a warmer feeling because deeper frequencies coming thru, not as in [4] & [5]. So the cutoff is not in the same position although the slope is likely to be quite similar.

If I see the results I think [4] is winning but my choice would be filter model [3].
And that is what I vote: [3]

It was nice to do this test.

Does using the resonance in any way push back the volume a large amount on anyone elses version?

Also, the envelope Att/Dec/Rel dont seem to be functioning at all.

And I am getting stuck notes constantly.

Just me?

Yes, that's expected. Some filters will apparently do this.

Haven't had either of those problems, but keep in mind it's a free alpha.

Yeah it's absolutely amazing, not complaining!!!

If that is the correct resonance behaiviour, then isn't that quite annoying for other people as well...?

What's the reasoning?

None of those later problems here... only thing for me has been the VCA envelop switch not working right.

As for the drop in volume, that is common in synths (I have no idea how accurate it currently is to an actual Pro One)... keep in mind that this is an alpha and there is lots of parameter adjusting still to do on RePro... for example, keyscaling does not currently track pitch correctly.

It would be mind dazzling if it has some of Bazille's sequencer design :o
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

:)

I have sent DSI support a note asking for DS' opinion -- just out of curiosity.

Dave's comment during Superbooth: "I haven't heard a Pro-One in 25 years"

Unfortunately we had to cancel our dinner plans because everyone had a post-trade-show-flu. I would have loved to ask him a few more questions about the design choices they made back then over a glass of wine or two.

That's what the Pro-One user manual says IIRC. The real Pro-One sequencer is a tad tedious to program because any double-triggered note counts twice, and my Pro-One likes to double trigger a lot. We'll check anyway...
