Help me getting rid of a VERY anoying sound

I've a big problem with the audio of a home movie.

There's a repating "THUCK" sound every second. I've no idea where it comes from. But it's there and I don' tknow how on earth I can get rid of it without damaging/removing the other sounds in the video.

As you can understand. It's a very anyoig sound.

Is it possible to somehow get rid of it?

I don't own any of the very expensive plugin ins. So it'll have to be done wiht freeware or cheap plugins.
