when i say a little different,i mean for me.im not claiming to be the nest big thing taking jazz to new levels or anything

anyway, this mornings play resulted in this, hmmmmmmmmm.nice!
still needs a bit of work on the mix(specially the upright :-o )but i think you will agree very different to my usual output :)

I really like this Vurt :D

It's different and it compliments my Jazz tip August compo entry niiiiicely

Post

thanks dave, ill have to get my august entry sorted soon i guess 8) glad you enjoyed 8)

jazztastic... 8)

I can hear the Bitches Brew influence... ;)

My only complaint was that the strings sound a bit one dimensional, they could do with some Concert Hall style reverb or/and some MDA Stereo thingymjig...

I love that warbly e-piano sound... is that M-tron?...

yeah everything except the drums and upright is mtron,oh and the xylophone
but theres plenty of mixing to be done yes,so a reverb on the strings you reckon 8) all help appreciated as i venture from the realm of the soundscape :D

got my little beret on ...

musically , it reminds me of something out of the Lalo Schifrin/Bullitt era ...
roll those credits ...

sadly , i must say the perc track is distracting from a very fine mood set by your composition ...

got any bongoes ?...

Yes,

This is the kind of jazz-infection I would hope to hear from you Vurt. Congrats and do more please.

Yeah, that's pretty cool.

My only beef is that you need a better snare sample set with greater variety in hits in the section from 1:30 onward: a bit too mechanised.
