Dj Shadow new single BOC sound alike

It sounds good, but I can't help to find it takes its inspiration from BOC:

I like it a lot, it's like a mix of two of my favorite artists (BOC and Dj Shadow) gel together into a dense, highly compressed track. There's also a trap beats in it... Hopefully, the rest of the new album will be as good.

I'm not a fan of trap, but otherwise it sounds pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.

Sounds like it could be any one of 1000 different artists. Mix sounds very flat and lifeless with pretty horrible compression all over it. Not what I was expecting from Shadow although it has to be said everything has been going slowly downhill since endtroducing really.

A mix of the old with newer sounds. I still like it a lot.

I don't think it sounds a thing like Blue Oyster Cult.
Maybe it needs more cowbell.
