Keylab 88 - any substance to faulty keybed claims?

I ahve been reading stories from folks who have bought the Keylab 88 and reporting that after a while they lose the function of "groups" of keys, not singles but groups, sometimes near an octave.

Can anyone advise if there is any truth to these stories, or woudl they be possible caused by mis-use of the keyboard? It is a Fatar keybed so I am surprised that there seems to be these faults.
