I knew there was built-in unison, but I actually never messed with it. Sounds like a very uniform unison sound, judging by the pitch modulation suggestion. This is my experience with the global unison in Reaktor. Very uniform and harsh. Also, I think there's a unison effect via the Script Processor.
But before writing such a review you should have, no?

Oh, really, there is panorama faders for each osc in analog stack. :dog:

Quick and dirty demonstration of dialing in a pad sound with the analog stack oscillator in UVI Falcon, applying detuning/panning and modulations to the individual oscillators to create a unison sound, later adding wave-shaping, filtering and FX processing. I could have applied more LFOs to the individual volume levels of each osc to create more animation/movement, but I was too lazy.

Is that right that every instrument which works with the UVI workstation (also third party) should load within Falcon?
I saw some interesting solo instruments which were made for the free UVI workstation and it would be awesome to use it within Falcon!

Yes, I just overlooked it. I knew there was global unison, but I got so swept up in everything else I totally forgot about it. :dog: I'll add a brief description somewhere in the review.

on the layer level... is there a way to sync the Multi Env to song position?

Post

You can only sync to tempo by clicking on the metronome icon in upper right corner of the modulator frame.

So... Kontakt is going to be better than Falcon right? I think I'll wait for Kontakt

*justification for missing intro price*

Hi,
i will purchase falcon in a few days, i have a little question about the cpu usage, eg, in the last -unison- video made by Simon, the cpu increase very quickly, my question is : the cpu meter is "accurate" like in reaper or it's a "personnal "cpu meter like in live or flstudio?
( can we play some voices at, eg, 80% Falcon cpu usage?)
(i hope i'm clear, it's the morning, and i didn't drink any cup of coffea:))
thanks

Well, Kontakt also cannot sync its modulators to song position, so both are the same in that regard...

Post

thanks for your reply re. Multi Envelope

actually, LFO does sync to song position now. i hope they do the same for the Multi Envelope.

In that video I was using Falcon in standalone mode with a buffer size of 64 samples, so playing an 8voiced chord does eat a lot of CPU, but as you hear in the video there is no crackling.

Post

thanks Simon for the response, for a 64 samples buffer size, it's great,-i think you have a good cpu:)- my question was about the kind of cpu meters, falcon cpu meter is accurate like the activity monitor/performance meters ?

Post

The most accurate CPU meter is the one provided by your OS. Others can all be off base +/-.
